How long had she been waiting there? In front of the building waiting to go inside, but what was she waiting for? She didn't know. She was just caught in a daze. Yes she was famous for that. Getting into dazes when she wanted to do something. But she was thinking about Missy. This place looked so much like where her Adoptive mother found her and took her in. Eventually she shook her head. No need to think of the past anymore.
Asphalt pushed herself off the ground and pushed the door open to the Italian restraunt. She stuck her head in and sniffed around. Her mouth watered at the smell of food. She pushed herself all the way in and looked around. She wound her silver body between tables and came behind the counter. Looking out for something delectable to eat. She followed her nose, which led her to a brown box. She pawed it, then bit down on a corner and tore the box open.
Some food she couldn't identify fell out of the box. Her mouth watered again, and she pawed at the contents, letting more and more of it fall onto the ground. Then she bent over and began pigging out. Her senses weren't on guard, since she hadn't eaten in a few days. She was starving. So if a dog did come in, she wouldn't be in a pleasen mood. She sat down, and as she ate pawed more food from the box.

.:Hunter:. The redbrown Rhodesian Ridgeback giant fancied a take out. He fancied a take out very very badly and the best place to find take out or fast food was the italian resturant on the corner of the street from his theatre. His huge paws clicked against the tar of the road making him sound more like a pony then a dog. It made everyone aware that he was on his way. No one usually sought trouble from Hunter. His size alone was enough to scare most into choosing a diffrent oponent. He prefered it that way. Hunter lowered his nose to the ground as he searched for anything unusual. His muscles as always were completely at ease and relaxed. He lifted his head to turn towards the resturant then stopped at the door. He could hear scuffling coming from inside. Hunter lowered his head to the gap between the floor and the door and sniffed loudly. A female! He became over eager as he jumped back then up against the door pushing the ajar door wide open. He bounded in and jumped onto the looking down into the dark depths. He moved alone the bar and watched the female scuff the food down from a diffrent angle. His tail slowly started to wag and the corners of his mouth twicthed as he waited for her almost expected territorial behaviour. Hunter was unafraid. He was strong and powerfull enough to defend himself. Not that he would ever harm a female. "There's a celar too downstairs. Its full of Rodents if that's not enough, Vixen."He informent her smoothly. Mood: Excited Words: 272 Complete?: Yes

Asphalt's head rose as soon as he entered the door. His scent flooded her nose immediately. A silent growl escaped her maw. She dipped her head bnack to the box and began eating again, rising on all fours just in case the male wanted to attack. Her ears twitched in his direction. She should have at least on sense alert.
When he jumped on the bar, her muscles tensed and her fur bristled slightly. She quickly shot him a glare and finished eating, before she turned to him. Her silvery blue eyes giving him icy stares. But he had come at the right moment. The moment when she was almost done eating.
Asphalt heard his comments about the rodents in the celar. Asphalt didn't even know there was a celar there. She was still hunry and there definitely wasn't much food left in this box. She blinked in surprise and her expression was a little softer.
"I didn't even know there was a celar here... she said, a bit to herself. She wondered how stupid that sounded, but didn't care in the least. "Where is it?" she added quickly. It was a little bit more of a demand, but she certainly wanted to know the next time she came here. Words;; 221 Mood;; Cautious, demanding

Hunter felt his excitement rise when she growled. What a sweet sweet sound, her growl was. He licked at his lips his tail wagging more eagerly now till she shot him a glare and he let out a confident laughter. Aww she was cross with him for interupting. Silly beauty. Didn't she know that he lived to hunt. He would never eat scraps. It was just, just not him. Even when the humans were here he tended to wonder off into the forrest just to hunt the racoon's or badgers. Badgers... Oh badgers were his favourite.
The way they got angry at you just for stepping in their way. It was said that like his tipe of breed a badger was fearless when it came to lions. What was their to fear when you were basically their size anyway? Now he had only met a lion once in his life and it was a fairly daunting experience but he was braver then most and he handled it just fine. But his attention should have been on the female right now. She was finally coming round at his words. He smiled down at her and gave an excited whine when she seemed confussed about a cellar.
Hunter crouched his hind legs and jumped to block her path twisting his body to face her. He lowered his front to the ground his eyes playfull as he smirked at her. His powerfull tail was whipping against the wood boarding that covered the wall. His mouth was open and his body was tense. He was playing with fire and She had eyes of ice. "What am I getting in return Beautiful?" He grinned then waited for her to respond to his playfull behaviour not faultering in his stance at all.

Asphalt was slightly annoyed with his behavior. Okay, not slightly, very. She rolled her eyes as he jumped off the bar and blocked her path. She prevented another growl from escaping her muzzle, and sat back on her haunches. She wasn't stupid enough to growl at this massive dog, though she was annoyed. But she could tell he was just being a push over.
Her icy stares returned as she frowned. "Figures... you can't do anything without getting something in return can you?" she said. More so as a statement than a question. She thouyght of it as very true herself. Normally when she asked where something was most dogs would tell her. Byt then again, she was bigger than most of the dogs she had met.
Asphalt certainly wasn't planning on giving him anything but a claw in the face, but she resisted, being he was a large brute and she was "just a female". At least in his eyes she probably was. She hated it when she was under estimated because she was a female. She had killed countless dogs before, after Missy died. Her fur bristled slightly at the memory.
Asphalt stood and then side stepped to try to get past him. If she couldn't she would just turn around and walk straight out the door. It would be a waste of her time to keep trying. She wasn't a boneheaded, stubborn dog like most others. Words;; 248 Mood;; Annoyed, determined

He shook his head slightly when she made her statement and gave her a bemused look. "You're a very good judge of character Fea." He complimented her then watched as she tried to side step him. He straightened up. His was incredibly tall compared to her. He looked down at her and grinned. He leaned his head over her and touched the tip of her nose to his ever so gently.
"Its a dog eat dog world Fea. I might turn my back for a few seconds and you'd have your whole pack here feasting on MY food. I don't want that do I?" He shoke his head against her nose then pulled back and backed up slightly. She was a female and he would respect her as best he could under the circumstances. He tilted his head to the side and nodded to the exit protecting the way to the kitchen knowing exactly where the entrance was. "Go on Vixen. If you won't show me I can trust you, you'd be better off out there again."
His voice was no longer playfull and cheerfull. On the contrary he was sad to see the fea leave. He didn't want her to leave but if someone found out about his own little farm of rodents he was looking after they'd ruin everything for his survival and the pack he planned to form one day. He was a dog with a dream. He wanted a pack and he wanted pups. Pups he could care for and females that could care for him. He licked at his lips and waited for her to make her decision his tail slowly lowering to the ground from its excited raised possition only moments ago.

Asphalt grimmaced as they touched noses. But also to the fact at how tall he was. When she heard him mention a pack, she frowned. She hated packs. The idea of so many dogs in one spot was... overwhelming.
What he had said about her leaving she took as a sort of threat. She sat back on her haunches and sighed. "Listen, i don't have a pack..." she started, wrapping her tail around her hind legs. "The idea of a pack to me is overwhelming... the thought of that many dogs in one space is just..." she couldn't find a word to describe it. "So if that's what your worried about, then, your pretty much free of your worries,".
She looked him in the eyes as she told him this. Asphalt would never lie to anyone unless it meant her life. Then, lies would come pouring out of her like a waterfall. But this wasn't that kind of situation. "Oh, and if it's your food your worried about, then you don't have to show me, i could just leave..." She added. And it was true. She wouldn't mind. She'd just find food elswhere.

Hunter remained silent as she tried to assure him. He stared at her with a smug look in his eyes. He waited till she was completely finished with her words. She was sitting down. She seemed calmer now. It did intrigue him that the female could change so quickly. She had fire in her and he liked that. He sighed and waited for the longest of moments then finally he licked his lips. "What did they call you? Whats your name?" His words had its playfullness to them again as he considered letting her go into his food cellar.
He would take longer to consider it then usual since he was deciding if he could trust her. Would she betray him at all? He didn't know this female. Showing her into the cellar would be risky. Was it not too soon?It was his secret as was the Movie Theatre. It was all he had yet he was considering sharing it with a strange female. That must mean he needed to get out there and make some companions. If she had no shelter then he would just have to get her used to the idea of lost of dogs in one place. A pack. He was sure this would take heaps of time though.
All he knew was that he now needed to take this female closer to him then just as an aquintance. He started towards her again and moved along the length of her body to sniff at her tail. He wondered if she would snarl at this again or maybe jerk away or like usually with strange dogs would just freeze and let him do as he pleased which at the moment was getting to know every detail about her and sizing her up. "Do you have a refuge?" He asked gently in his deep calm voice.

"Asphalt," she replied as he asked for her name. She wondered how he'd react. Some dogs laughed, some dogs barely noticed, and for others it took a while for it to click. If he did laugh, it'd be nothing new to her oboviously. But everytime she told someone her name she began to think of Missy... every single time. She needed to get nout of the habit.
She blinked, coming back to the presant. When he bent over to sniff at her, her tail flicked uncomfertably, but otherwise, she stayed still. She didn't really like strangers getting so close to her. It was... weird. It felt like an invasion of privacy somewhat. But she always shrugged it off.
She shook her head as he asked her if she had a place to stay. "I don't stay anywhere for too long," she said. But it was mainly because of her fear of coming across an unwanted guest. Which was why she never really met too many dogs or made many friends.
Asphalt tilted her head. "Why do you ask?" she asked him. Now she was just as curious as he was. She wanted to be asking all of the questions noq. But, she pushed the rest of her curiousness away. It normally got her into trouble. A lot of trouble.

Hunter heard her name and snickered slightly. Her name certainly did not suite her. She was so far from tar and dirt it was unreal. "Could the one who named you not have chosen something more fitting? You're so far from asphalt its not even funny." He whispered against her fur. He turned his head to look at her still standing against her body. When she said she had no place to stay he moved around her again at started to sniff at the corner of her mouth now standing beside her.
"Because Fae if you want the food I need to trust you. I have a shelter on the corner of the street. Come back there and rest with me?" He said it more as a comand then and a question. He then moved forward to the swing door of the kitchen then lifted up on his hind legs and pushed it open like that before standing against the door and turning his head back towait for her. "You coming beaut?"
His tail stood errect again and his ears were perked up. He wondered if this Asphalt would take his offer. It might not be such a bad idea to have another in the theatre. He was growing lonely at times. She was young so he could even teach her how to track and hunt when they went to the forrest

Asphalt expected that. She looked down t her silver fur. "Would you have liked Sidewalk better?". She loved her name. Yes it was more for the black road, but if she was named sidewalk she'd most certainly hate it.
When her offered her a place to rest, her ear twitched. "Tell me your name first." she said, tilting her head. If he gave her the time, she would certainly consider going with him to his shelter. After all, it was much better than having to find a place to sleep every night. That was just a hassle on her part.
When he opened the door, she got up from her sitting position and shook out her fur, which was pointless since it fell nback into place. She took a few steps forward, but waited for him to the lead the way. He had made it clear it was his territory, so she would let him lead the way since it seemed to make him more comfortable.
Asphalt wondered what it looked like there. She had been in plenty of basemnents and celars, but every single one was different from the next. She didn't know how many veriations there could be. Some were pitchblack, others had windows to let in light. Her curiousity was getting to her again.

Hunter smirked when she asked if sidewalk would have been better then shoke his head. "If it was up to me I certainly would not have named you asphalt..." He wandered past the swing door it mechanism now stuck so the door rermained open all due to his strenght. He moved in through the kitchen glancing over his shoulder. His movements were brimming with confidence as he lead her to the cellar entrance. "They called me Hunter. Its a fitting name. I am a hunter and a hunting dog."
It was quiet in the kitchen. There was nothing besides the clip clop of their paws on the dirty tiled floors. It made Hunter feel more at ease. He liked it when it was quiet. There was no threat when it was quiet. Not that he felt threatened often. Usually mind over powered brute strenght in his case. He very much prefered insults and growls to actual fighting. Fighting was a messy business and tricky too. If you encountered a dirty fighter like the dark hearted dogs you got hurt. Hunter gave her a thoughtfull expression.
"If I could have named you I would have chosen something like Flake or Skye... Not Asphalt but you seem to like the name so I will keep my big snap shut shall I?" He smiled at her as he stopped infront of a huge box. He sat down and waited for her to join his side so he could listen for anyone else who might have wondered in. The box blocked the stair case down to the cellar. When you didn't possition yourself correctly you jumped straight to your death falling down treacherous stairs. He had found many a corpse at the bottom of the staircase. He didn't mind and neither did the Rats.
It just meant more food for them. He would go first and catch her if she jumped wrong. Rather that then her tumbling to her death.

Asphalt shrugged. She saw no point in continuing to argue the matter. If she liked her name, she liked it. End of story to her. When she heard him pronounce his own name, her ears perked forward.
"Hunter..." she mumbled under her breath. But she thought nthe name also suited him because he was so large that he could probably hunt dogs aswell. She shuddered at this thought.
She followed him through the kitchen, not saying another word. She looked around as their paws scuffed the dirty floor. The silence would normally be nice in a place she was used to, but since she had never been here before, it was a little eerie.
When Hunter mentioned fiving her a name like 'Flake' or 'Skye' her nose schrunched up, but she quickly went back to her normal blank expression. Yes you should... she thought nas he mentioned keeping his "big snap shut".
When they arrived at the box, Asphalt tilted her head curiously at it. Wnhy was there a box there? That was a strange spot. She padded over to Hunter's side, still keeping a curious eye on the box. She had the urge to ask a question, but she ontinued to keep quiet. She figured he'd tell her how to get down there anyways.
