[.Does Not Glitter.]
A dark silhouette moved swiftly through the borders of the forest, keeping to the roots and bushes so secure he was unseen. His tri-colour pelt whistled through the leaves, leaving them swaying violently. But there was no-one there to notice, the male was all alone, and even if someone was there to notice, he would be out of site before they even twigged it was a dog. His muscles pumped, paws thumping the ground almost noiselessly, keen honey optics alert for danger. His dark, drooping ears flapped wildly in the wind the Australian shepherd created for himself. He enjoyed the feel of the wind rushing through his pelt, it took him away, made him feel secluded. Alone. He liked to be alone.
He saw a root protruding from the ground in the distance, and with one swift leap it was behind him, already forgotten. His floppy ears twitched suddenly, and he began to slow, a deep growl echoed from the depths of his throat. Baring his teeth, he got low to the ground, and slowed to a complete halt. His nose quivered, and his eyes narrowed. He had heard something.
He began to remember his sister, Luyu, and all the times they had spend together. He remembered their pup hood, never leaving each others side, helping each other through turmoil and danger. His heart began to grow heavy, and it ached with a pain he had taught himself how to cope with. You don't need anyone anymore. Forget it. Keep moving, it's almost nightfall, he told himself Luyu's gone. She is nothing. Just a memory now, a memory you could do without. Stop playing tricks on yourself, there is no-one there, carry on and you could make it out of this damned forest and finding a place to rest by the time the moon rises. He nodded slowly, almost not noticeable. As if anyone was here to notice it. His eyes slid calmly around, searching for any danger. The forest was deathly silent, so much the sound of his own pulse in his ear boomed like thunder.
This place was weird, when he had first began his journey into the forest, his tracking skills had led him to notice the scattered bones of animals, large animals at that. He had wondered what could do that to such large beasts. Then he had felt the silence cling to him like thick mist, it had made him more weary that there were no birds chirping, no animal droppings, and now it was almost dark, no owls hooted, and no distant howl from wolves, which was extremely odd. This dog knew well enough that this was an island, and in forest area's there were wolves. Lots of wolves. In fact, there should be packs of wolves that roam the forest. A frown grew on his maw, and he heard the bush nearby with a rustle, but he didn't wait to see what it was. With a shake of his ebony, ivory and mahogany coat he was off, speeding into the distance, trying to make up for the time he had lost pondering the odds of the forest.

Cyanide's paws moved silently as she made her way into Sinister Woods. Ears were lifted on either side of her head, acoustics cupping the faint sounds of this place. Blue orbs were locked a head of her as her muscles extended and contorted as she moved in a steady trot. Blades and pelvis rolled easily with each step. Paws left perfect impressions behind. A chilly breeze whipped her fur in sevreal directions but she was used to that now. Lower jaw dropped as her salmon pink tongue lolled out the corner of her maw, slapping against the bottom jaw. Tail was held up high over her back, swaying softly with the trot gait. Cyanide was out here, hoping to find a interesting male. Harley was good but he wasn't around much. She was lonely and wanted a mate. It didnt' mean Harley wouldn't still rule, he would, but the new male would be there for her. He wouldn't get the perks of ruling a pack. If any male liked that notion then more power to them. If not, they could just F off for all she cared.
Above, the moon hung in a midnight blue sky, stars twinkled merrily between the gaps of the branches. She inhaled deeply loving the scent of the forest. It smelled earthy and decaying. Just what she loved the most. This was the perfect place for her to go. Plus, she was bored with the city and often enjoyed coming out here to the island portion to get away from the eerieness of the city...not that she minded one bit. She suddenly picked up the scent of a brute nearby. Snuffling along the ground, she picked up his trail and followed it closely. Her muscles loose and relaxed as she eventually came upon him. She approached him and planted her rump on the ground, bushy tail wrapping around her back legs, twitching on occasion. Forelegs came aronud to the front of her chest, keeping her upper body erect. She kept her blue pools on him and began speaking to him.
"Why hello there brute. I'm Cyanide, what brings you out here to these lovely woods?" she spoke in a soft and flirty tone as she patiently waited for him to respond. In the distance a crow squawked and an owl hooted. Oh how she loved these woods.

With a quick shake of his multi coloured pelt, and a flick of his tail Ranen halted abruptly. He scented a female nearby, and she was getting closer. Reassured, Ranen heaved a soft sigh, glancing up at the tree canopy's above him. Now that night was upon him, he felt a little better, he felt at home when the moon was out, as he did when it was pouring with rain, he felt it refreshing, like you could say you lived after you've laid down in the middle of a heavy downfall.
Blinking mocha optics, he turned his head in the direction the femme was approaching. He silently hoped she wasn't here to cause trouble, he wasn't in the mood for an arguement, as much as he loved them, he'd been running for hours with barely and stops, and he really couldn't be bothered with a pissy female giving him trouble.
As a tri-colour border collie entered the scene, he sat down lightly, breathing a heavy sigh and glancing up at the twinkling stars that peeked through the leaves. With a twitch of his auds he caught her words, but moved not an inch, and did not speak for a small while.
Eventually, he met her gaze evenly, and small smile flickered onto his maw. 'Ello there, Cyanide,' he greeted quietly, although friendlier than his tone normally was when faced with a flirty tone. Perhaps a good flirt would do him good, he hadn't met a female who had flirted with him for a long time. Hauling his rump off the ground with one swift movement he padde toward the female, eyes baring a secretly flirty gaze. 'Lovely?' he inquired, smirking slightly, 'If it were lovely I wouldn't be here. I don't take to pretty things too well, might make an exception for you though.' He flashed her a smile, as he sauntered casusally toward her.
He wondered why he was flirting back, it was most unlike him, although, he rarely met pretty fae's. He didn't have a mate, and his usually gloomy, sarcastic atmosphere didn't usually appeal to many. That was the way he liked it though, he was a loner, and he wasn't good with company.
'What of you, fae? Why do you enter the forest of eternal sunshine?' he asked sarcastically.

Cyanide smirked at the brute and listened to him talking. He was a smooth talker, that was for sure. But she liked that. While she really didn't have a mate, she ruled Cambridge pack with Harley. Sighing slightly, she raised her ears as he spoke.
"Me? Why I'm out here enjoying the lovely sunshine of course," she said smirking coyly as she pulled herself up onto all fours and spread her legs, giving her body a rigorous shake. Ears flapped against her skull but she stopped shaking and regarded the brute before her.
"My name is Cyanide, ruler of Cambridge pack. What is your calling?" she inquired curiously cocking her head to one side and giving him the adorable 'curious' look. She knew this worked on most males, hell it drove them absolutely crazy really. Smiling innocently, but deadly at the same time, Cyanide remained sitting in front of him. If he wanted to get close to her he could. If he was dark, that was even better really. He could join her pack. She was still looking for more members anyway. So far it was only males that had joined her pack. What a lucky bitch she was at that , to be surrounded by such handsome brutes. Any fae would absolutely go nuts for that spot. Ice blue orbs looked over the brute. He was a good looking boyo that was evident. Another chilly breeze whipped patches of her fur in several directions but she didn't mind it one bit. Her salmon pink tongue lolled out and flapped out the corner of her maw as she panted ever so slightly. She blinked as Cyanide waited for him to talk again.
If only this forest was part of my pack lands, she thought wistfully and ruefully but she blinked and waited.

Ranen chuckled at her coy smile and reply. Shaking his head softly he glanced at the moss covered ground, it was barely visible. The dark clung to him eerily, but he was not afraid, he was afraid of nothing. He had only just met this fae, but she was alright, better than some of the femme's he'd met. The bossy, arrogant, stuck up ones were the ones he couldn't stand, the ones who were pretty chilled, and easy to talk to were the ones he got along with best. Cyan was chilled and easy to talk to, so he guessed he would get along with her in the future. The future.
Thoughts of the future made Ranen uneasy, he didn't like to think ahead, it made him wary, like similiar events to the past might replay themselves. Auds twitching, he caught her question. 'They call me Ranen. Ironically it means joyous,' he said with a shady laugh, his dark, powerful orbs gliding smoothly to meet her gaze. 'I'm a loner, and I prefer it that way. I prefer to be alone, family...family doesn't suit me somehow,' he said evenly, a sly smile twitching his upper lip.
'What about you? You got any family?' he asked casually, jaws parting for him to yawn widely, a small whine accumpanying it.

Cyanide smiled and smirked as she felt an itch forming on her neck. She raised a hind leg up and began kicking at her neck. She leaned into the itch as a contempted sigh came across her maw. When she was finished she lowered her leg again and pulled herself back up onto all fours. She spread her legs and gave her body a rigorous shake, ears flapped against her head. She regarded Ranen.
"Ah yes. Thats alright. Loners tend to be a bit more free willed anyway, however running a pack is thrilling," She said smirking as she felt a chilly brisk breeze whipping patches of her tri colored fur. Her blue orbs were locked on Ranen as she shifted her weight a bit and flicked her tail from side to side, letting it sweep over the ground. She looked at him again.
"My family was never around. I was taken when I was a young pup and experiemented on, but that was before the bomb went off," Cyanide said blinking against the sunlight.
One ear cocked back, listening to the sounds of nature around them. The woods were making their own natural sounds, except that the woods themselves really had no animals living in it except for a few birds. There were no animals, such as foxes or rabbits living here mostly. Small rodents were found here scurrying about. Cyanide's blue eyes caught the sunlight making them glow slightly. Her nose twitched as her lower jaw dropped, salmon pink tongue lolling out and resting out the corner of her maw, flapping against her furry jawline. Another breeze whipped her fur around as she sat there, rigid as a stone as she looked at Ranen. She waited for him to respond and wondered what he would say next.

ooc// By the way, I thought it was night?
bic// Ranen his a smirk, bowing his head and peering at her thoughtfully. He wondered what was going through the female's head, what she thought of him, whether she thought he was a joke or whether she thought he was worthwhile talking to. Why should I care? he thought gruffly, It's not like it matters what she thinks he told himself.
Parting his jaws he released another yawn, he was getting weary, he'd had a long day of travelling and still had nowhere to stay peacefully. He didn't particually want to stay here unless he had no other choice.
Ranen's ears twitched suddenly at something the femme had said. 'Experiment?' he inquired coldly, his tone rigid and rather shocked. 'You are indeed unfortunate. I've heard of the experiments, but I was not raised here on the island, and was told that humans were merely myth, the very thought of experimentations and two-legged beats were beaten out of me from a young age,' he said with a small shudder.
'Family had made me what I today. I suppose I am partly grateful, that I don't worry myself over the troubles of others, but in a way I expect it would be nice to be able to love someone,' he said calmly, as if he had accepted he could never love a long time ago.
Dismissing that discussion, for he no longer wanted any part in it, he returned to her previous statement. Thrilling... he thought, pondering the word for some times before speaking. 'I can't say I'd find running a pack thrilling. I would say a nuisance, or even irritating. I wouldn't be able to fend for a pack, I'm not that caring,' he said smoothly, giving her a flash of his teeth.
'Who runs it with you anyway? And what the hell made you want to run a pack in the first place?'

Cyanide smirked at him then nodded when he explained about why he was more a loner than a pack member. She heard him ask about why she ruled the pack. She thought carefully before responding to him.
"Well frankly it was the idea of being able to boss people around. And I dont find ruling a pack a nuissance really. Its fun to boss others around and get them to fear you," Cyanide said smirking at him as she felt an itch forming on her neck. She raised a hind leg and began kicking at the spot. She leaned into the kick, tilting her head sideways a bit. Once she was finished, she turned back to Ranen.
"I suppose being a loner is cool too. You get to do whatever you want, not that I dont do that now ," she said laughing crudely.
Still, she didn't want him berating her for being a ruler either...that wouldn't be very respectful either. She then heard him ask who rules with her.
"Harley. He's a bad ass too," she said smirking a bit and pulled herself up onto all fours. Her muscles were gettign rather tight now from sitting in one spot for such a long time. She pulled herself up onto all fours and stretched, lowering the front half of her body in a 'bow' and stretching one hind leg out at a time. "I'm getting rather bored boyo..why dont we go for a walk?"
She didn't mind a nice walk somehwere. Atleast her muscles wouldn't be sore and stiff. She walked a few paces before stopping and craning her head around to look at Ranen over her shoulder. Ears were raised on either side of her head as she watched him expectantly with her blue orbs.

A smirk etched Ranen's maw, he dipped his head shadows encasing the edges of his maw. There was a cold glint in his eyes as he opened his jaws to reply. 'I suppose there are ups and downs to being an alpha, then,' he answered cooly, his tone slightly seductive.
His black nose twitched, and he shuddered as the wind picked up and sent a chill breeze whipped through his fur. He tilted his mahogany crown at the femme, as if trying to figure her out. 'Whenever you want,' he added to her statement with a grin. 'And you don't have any alpha's screaming at you. It's peaceful, gives me a sense of belonging when I have no pack,' he knew to most dogs that made no sense at all, but Ranen was a free spirit, and enjoyed his time in the wild.
Ranen snorted with amusement. 'I'm sure he's as equally delightful as you,' he said sarcastically, but he was only messing. With a bit of luck the femme would know he was only toying with her, but it didn't really matter to him whether she did or not. Did it?
Dismissing the thought, he released the third and final yawn of the night, he parted his jaws as wide as he could, and made a soft, high pitching whining sound as he did. He blinked his eyes drowsily and raised his rump in the air, squeezing his mocha orbs shut and stretching out his fore paws.
Straightening up, he nodded at the female's suggestion. 'Sounds like a plan,' he replied with a smirk, and padded after the female cooly.

Cyanide smirked again and began padding toward Canine Ridge. The cliff was a place she often liked to go to think a bit. This would be the perfect place to go and relax and not have to worry about fucking lights parading around saying 'lookit me'. It was disgusting honestly. She turned to Ranen.
"Sure come on I know a place. And the only time I yell at a member is if they start getting mushy on me," Cyanide said smirking as she turned her head and began padding away from him, slowly of course, so he was able to catch up. She paused and craned her head around, blue orbs catching the light as she looked at him.
"Come on boyo. I know the perfect place. We can even annoy the lights," she said grinning rather sardonically as she stood on all fours. Her bushy tail waved from side to side in teh air behind her. Another chilly breeze blew patches of her tri colored fur in several directions but she didn't mind it. She loved the cold and fall anyway since it matched her personality. She hoped Ranen would follow her to the ridge. A lot of dark dogs often head up there. It was much better than hanging aroudn the areas where lights were. Ugh. Cyanide wrinkled her nose in disgust at the thought as she watched Ranen ears raised on either side of her head, acoustics cupping any faint noise that might come around.
Above her, the brids chirped nosily in teh trees. A few had taken flight again and theri bodies were contrasted against the grey. It was rather lovely though as she stood and patiently watied for Ranen to respond. Her lower jaw dropped , salmon pink tongue lolling out and flapping out the coner of her jaws as she stood.
