Calamity

Calamity sat by the spring looking out over the beautiful water. He yawned and padded over to the water to get a drink. The big white Irish Wolfhound was growing lonely. He looked around and when he saw no one he decided to make up a game. For being 6 years of age sometimes Calamity acted as a puppy. He suddenly jumped in the water and started scaring the fish off. He batted the water with his paws watching the fish swim away from him. He yawned again and his game quickly ended it was no fun alone he decided. He padded out of the water and shook his fur dry. Then he sat down and he heard leaves crackling in the woods. Calamity perked his ears up and cautiously growled "Who's there?" His gaze stayed on that spot as he waited for the reply. He sniffed the air.. it was a female but he still didn't let his guard down.

Karla was having fun just running around chasing butterflies, she laughed as one landed on her nose and then fluttered off, she ran hard after it jumping up trying to catch it, it was all good fun, she didnt take her eyes off the butterfly, she grinned as she nearly caught up to it, she was to much in a world of her own that she didnt see Calamity and ran straight into him, she stepped back and shook her head and then looked at who she had run into, she smiled "sorry" she said slightly giggling, she padded past him, being a canadian eskimo dog meant that she had a thick black and white coat, large pointing harks and a medium slightly curled tail, and because she was so playful everyone thought she was no more than 1 years old, but the fact was she was actually 6, but her personality was that of a younger dog, she looked back at him as she padded past, then spotted the butterfly not far away, she grinned again and set off at full speed after the butterfly, until finally it dissapeared into the forest, she laughed and ran back towards calamity, she smiled at him and sat down a few feet from him, not even out of breath in the slightest, "hi, i'm Karla, sorry about runnning into you" she said wagging her tail, she cocked her head cutely on one side and waited for him to answer

Calamity growled and then looked at her smiling and said "It's OK." When she announced her name he replied "I'm Calamity." He wagged his tail and was glad she wasn't afraid of him. Most dogs had feared him because of his appearance for Calamity's parents were darks so he looked dark as well. Calamity was sort of happy when he saw Karla had a playful side. He smiled even wider at this and waited as patiently as he could for like a pup Calamity could not sit still for long.

he looked dark but seemed to nice to be dark, it was different with karla, she genuinly looked like a pure light, but her parent were both darks, she came from a long line of darks, when she was growing up she couldnt stand the way her parents acted and treated other dogs, as soon as she was old enough she joined the light side, never to speak of her past again, now she looked at calamity, a happy grin across her maw, you wouldnt have know any different, and thats the way she liked it, she looked up at calamity for he was quite a bit taller than herself, "it's nice to meet you calamity" she said, now she did have the mind of a puppy, she scratched at her ear with her back leg, almost falling over, she let out a little laugh, she jumped up and ran around in circles, she was full of energy, and she also always seemed extremely hyper, she hardly ever tired and found she could go on for long periods on time, she stopped running and stood infront of calamity, tail wagging, blinking her big grey eyes at him, her pink tongue hanging out, she laughed and waited to see what he would do

Calamity laughed at her puppy energy and stood slowly. He replied "Nice to meet you too." He grinned at her and wagged his tail faster. He walked slowly over to the water and motioned for Karla to follow. He turned to her and was waiting for her to come. His puppy energy started to show as well but he waited.
