Jade ...Behind every damsel is a fire breathing dragon... .The beach was obviously not what it seemed. Though it was beautiful with the waves crashing along the beach, the white foam bubbling and the blue sky streaked with white fluffy clouds over head, there was a distinct smell in the air, and it wasn't one that was good. There was fruit on the trees that lined the beach front, and it was from these fruits, though delicious looking, the smell came from. Jade slowly approached them, her ears laid back at the smell of death oozing from their pores. Her blue eyes studied them completely as she relied on her other senses to guide her footsteps. She could tell that these fruits were not as delicious as they looked, and the knowledge of this made her wary, for if these fruits were so horrible, what other unpleasant surprises did this land hold in store for an unknowing dog?
.Well, Jade didn't really want to find out, but at the same time, she liked this land called Contempt Beach. Even the name seemed evil. Shiving inspite of the warm air blowing off the waters, Jade finally came within the last few feet of the tree. It never occured to her that possibly the smell was what would be lethal; to a mind that had never encountered a poisonious fruit before, Jade simply assumed that one would have to eat the fruit to become sick from it. But as she stopped, a sudden thought came to her, and she froze, her eyes going wide as her breath caught in her throat. Was this land so empty because of the smell that came from these fruits? Jade had not crossed a single other canine yet, and even though she had only been around for a few hours, she was starting to grow nervous that she hadn't seen anyone else. Where was everyone? Was this tree a killer, even if you didn't eat it? But then, why was she still alive? She had been smelling the tree for quite some time, and she felt perfectly normal. So where was everyone?
.Giving the tree one last sniff, Jade turned and padded down to the water, but stopped at the edge so that only her paws would get wet. Wet fur not only stunk, but when mixed with salt and sand, was most uncomfortable, and Jade knew that she didn't want to meet her first aquaintance covered in sand and salt. She wanted to be presentable; especially if it was a male that she came across. So, sitting just out of range of the tide, Jade paused to rest. She let her mind wander as she sat looking out over the ocean at the sun that was starting to set. There was probably still about three hours to go before the sun set, but Jade could already tell that it would be marvilous. Would there be someone for her to share it with? She sure hoped so.

Svivik, pushed his paws on the ground. Pads hitting lightly as the steps that he was taking where light themselves. Though as he walked there was nothing, no sounds seeing as the sand took his paw hitting and absorbed the sound that it made. His paws carried his body forward, he was a border collie, so really Svivik was not that big in size, reasonably he was a good size. His pelt around his legs, paws, belly and tail soon became over run with sand, though being on a beach was that really something that you shouldn’t expect? It was just so irritating and annoying, however he learned to bare with it for now, it was not like he could really do anything about it. Other than getting off this beach. Which for now he didn’t want to do.
He was neutral, with a little bit of dark tendencies, though that did not mean he wasn’t allowed to come to places like this or anything like that. That just pissed him off when others judged him on where he want. Picking up his walk that he was doing, Svivik moved a little bit faster but still, no noise erupted underneath him from his steps. However he was leaving paw prints behind him as he walked. The small little breeze that he could feel around, made his pelt move, in the way that it does. He felt the cool breeze on his skin underneath his fur to.
His blue robs scanned around as he walked, yeah he was a pretty nice dog though it depended on how you acted to him. Though he could act dark if he needed and everything like that. His ears twitched as he took in the sounds that he could hear around, nothing but the ocean right now which was pretty much all he wanted to hear. However his eyes caught something different, the image of a female off in the distance. He walked forward, to where she was. Though if she wanted him to leave. Pretty much he will do so.
Svivik was not the type of guy to harass any mares that where around. He was not that type of dude at all. Coming to a stop as he finally reached the female, he stopped at little bit of an distance from here. Giving her space. And he opened his maw to talk. Hello, there my dear. The names Svivik, how about yours? See, he was generally a nice guy. Just don’t piss him off or anything.

.The Australian Shepard's ears twitched as she felt something behind her. She froze, wondering what it was that had so silently sneaked up to her. Her ears swivled around on her head, trying to catch a sound of an approach, but there was nothing. Confused and just a little bit concerned, Jade quickly came to her feet and then turned, all within the same movement, it seemed. She paused when she saw the brute walking towards her, and again her ears twitched as no sound came from them. Jade had heard of those who walked lightly, and had even met one or two before, but never had she met one that was able to move as quietly as this one seemed to. This, for some reason irritated Jade, which was probably why, when she spoke, she spoke a bit sharply. "Well Svivik, my name's Jade." It wasn't the words she used that were sharp; it was her tone.
.As soon as the words were out of her mouth, though, Jade realized that she was being rude, and felt bad. It wasn't his fault she was acting strange and getting worked up over the fact that he could move completely soundlessly over the sand. It was sand for pete's sake! It was probably the easiest substance to walk on without making noise. Jade shook her head slightly, then smiled at Svivik shyly. "Sorry Svivik. I seem to be grouchy today."
She paused, trying to think of something else to say. Finally, she came up with, "So, how are you?" Wow, that was the best she could come up with? Lame.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
