"I want you to stay put.." Trick mimiced what Lance had told him and gave an annoyed growl his head laying on his thin paws. The cardboard box he lay in had lost its intrest as a toy. He was board. He needed entertainment. He wanted to go out looking for it but he was told to stay put. Stay put? What did that even mean? Stay put....
Trick licked at his lips as his eyes darted across the stone wall of the alleyway then he saw it and his eyes fixed on the little insect crawling along the wall. Trick lifted his head his ears pricking up with intrest. A small whimper escaped his throat. A toy... IT was a toy. Hello toy...
Tricks hind legs quivered with anticipation. It was calling to him. It was begging him to come and play. Tricks head turned from side to side as if looking for someone to as for help. "Can no one hear it!!!" Tricks whimpered and jumped to his feet bounding for the fly. He pressed his paws against the wall only to make the insect fly up in alarm.
That didn't stop Trick as he bounded after it jumping and snapping at it like some tiger snapping at a piece of meat. The insect lead him across the street... Into the park... Throw the growth...
It hovered in mid air over a clump of grass making Trick stop and crouch down in anticipation of the jump. His tail wagged viciously then suddenly he jumped at the fly and landed on something that was definaitly not a patch of grass...
Trick scrambled off a living creature and twisted round to face it his hair standing on end and his teeth bared. His head was held low. Yet his confounded tail would not stop wagging!!!

Asphalt had been sleeping for a while now. She didn't feel like moving. It just wasn't possible for her right now. She was exhausted. She had been walking around all day looking for a place to sleep, and eventually just gave up and fell asleep in the park.
During her snooze, her senses were not alert whatsoever. It seemed like the dream she was hving was the real world. Was that.. Missy? Standing in the distance. Asphalt tried to run to her, but she couldn't move. Then, Missy slowly faded away.
Asphalt shook in her sleep for a moment. She felt something pounce of her. It was small, slightly heavy. She pulled her eyes open, and looked to see a small pup in, what seemed like, an attacking position. Asphalt tilted her head slightly. But she realised that his tail was wagging, and she couldn't help but crack a smile. This was too cute, even for her, not to smile at.
She got up into a sitting position, clearly bigger than the dog standing infront of her. She yawned, feeling a little better rested. She wanted to see what this pup would do next. It interested her to see the young so enerjetic. Like their adrenaline was always rushing. It amused her. Words;; 216 Muse;; Okay Puppet;; Asphalt Mood;; Amused, awake

Trick's back legs began to quiver as the bigger dog got up into a sitting possition then he lifted his front from the grond and let his eyes slide over the beautiful dog. She was huge... She was very ... huge. Trick gulped and realised there was no way her could possibly win but it wasn't if you won or lost right. Its how dirty you played to get to the end... Trick could see the other dog smiling at him. A bemused smile and he crouched down again. "Ya think I'm funny do ya?"
Trick said with a growl his confounded tail still betraying his stance. "I'll rip you to pieces. I might seem like a push over but I ain't. I am super strong and super dangerous. You'd better apologi- .. Okay thats it!" Trick turned to his tail and started snapping at it which ended up making him chase it in a dizzying circle. He was no fighter. He was a player, a Joker and a light hearted little thing. It just hadn't become a realization to him yet....
Trick fell to the ground in exhaustion and huffed a sigh of annoyance. His brown eyes fixed on the female towering above him and he licked at his lips trying to calm his beating heart. She was certainly a pretty female. She looked to be close to Tricks ange too well... as close as possible since he was only a year and what, 7 odd months if you worked it out the human way. In doggy years he was about 14 ish as was she or so it seemed. "You're lucky I am tired today. My tail was being stubborn as well. Had to sort it out..."
He told her trying to seem cool and confident. He hoped he wasn't failing too horribly. Thats what female dogs wanted. A brute. Someone to shove them around a bit and tell them whose boss. Not Angel of course. She went into fear spasm whenever she got shoved around. Never Angel. Angel needed a hero. Angel needed a protector. Not someone to shove her around. Angel needed to be found. Trick closed his eyes in pain at the memory of his sister and sighed deeply before he opened them to the female again.

Asphalt smiled again at the young pup. Oh yes, she found him funny. Not the type that would make her break out into laughter, but at least crack a smile or maybe even let a little laughn slip out. "There's a difference between funny and amusing my dear," she said in her softer tone.
She was a tad taken surprised when he growled at her, but she didn't take it in as threatening. When he began ranting on about how he was "super strong" and "super dangerous" she could really tell he was younger than her.
She layed down as he finished chasing his tail and nodded. "Oh i must be a lucky one," she said, not one drop of sarcasm in her words. She was good at sounding serious, even when she knew she wasn't. "And i apologize for thinking you were amusing," she added gently.
Asphalt was taken aback when he released a rather, emotional, sigh. She tilted her head. She was never the one to be concerned, but she always had a soft spot for pups. "Tell me... what's your name?" she asked curiously, quickly taking out the word of her choice "pup". She didn't need to see his amusing display again. She figured it would be better for him. "What's on your mind?" she added after a moment. She was always a good pair of ears, since she never interrupted. Oh no, Missy had been very clear on that one. Every time Asphalt interrupted her adoptive siblings she'd get a nip on the behind as a warning. She couldn't help flashing a smile at this, but quikly dropped it before the dog before her could notice. Words;; 297 Muse;; Okay Mood;; Amused, concerned

She found him amusing! Great... she found him amusing... Trick rolled his eyes. No use being tough and cool when you weren't. You just weren't when you weren't. The tiny dog was again lost in his own play with words when she spoke again her voice filtered with sarcasm. He could tell she liked to be sarcastic. She seemed tougher then he was which didn't bode well when you were a pup with impressing in mind. Of course she was tougher. She was towering over him like Godzilla.
Well... Not Godzilla but the notion was there. He lifted his head when she appologised and nodded approvingly not hearing the actual words she was using just yet. "Well now thats more like i- Hey! Thats not what I meant and you know it..." He jumped up to his feet his mouth open blinking up at her. He still panted from all the energy he had used on managing his tail. His pink tongue hung out the corner of his mouth as he stared at her.
"The Trickmeister... Or just Trick...Tell me wahts yours and I'll tell you whats on my mind, gorgeous..." If a pup could grin sheepishly Trick would have done so now as he almost purred to her walking forwards and starting to circle her...

Asphalt stiffled a laugh as he realised what she had really said. Instead she covered it with a sneeze, that sounded a bit closer to a snort. "Alright, i'm sorry," she said smiling. Ah, she couldn't help it... this pup was just too amusing. The way he acted was adorable, which obviously wasn't what he was aiming for.
Asphalt sighed, remebering when she tried to impress countless dogs by trying to act tough in their presence. She shook her head at that memory. Her puppy days were over. She was now mature and a little more set back then from when she was a pup.
When she realised, Trick was his name? Well, when she realised he was trying to flirt, she couldn't help but loud out a small laugh. As he circled her, she stuck out her tail seeing if she could make him at least stumble a little. It wasn't meant to hurt him, just show him he wasn't as much a stud as he thought.
"Asphalt," she replied. She knew her name was strange, but she personally liked it. Probably because Missy had given it to her. She had been thinking about Missy a lot lately, and wondered why. But one again, she shrugged the memory away.

Trick's eyes flared when she made her laughter into a sneeze then turned it into a snort. He was inches from tackling her to the ground .... or attempting to atleast. He frowned at her for a moment then heard her actual appology and he turned his head to her tilting it. He was trying to work out if she meant it this time. Trick had seen Lance do this a million times. It had the females swooning. He could pull it off with this female... surely. His gentle brown eyes locked on Asphalt as he rounded her back.
Then suddenly his paw caught on her tail and he fell forwards then stumbled twisted around and pattered his feet like he was running on the spot. "I meant for that to happen... You know show off the ol' agility thing and all. Bet ya fancy me now don't ya?" Trick stopped pattering then hung his head for a moment. "I'm sorry. I'm being a tipical male. I'll quit while I'm only partially behind."
He lifted his head finally and sat down infront of her titling his head at the almost distant look in her pretty eyes. "Asphalt?" Try saying that nine times in a row.How in heavens name would he remember that name? "Are you okay?" He would get to Angel later. She had been missing from their pack for over two months anyway.
The chances that some stranger he met in a park would know where his sister was would be just too unbelievably impossibly lucky. Trick.... was everything but lucky...

Asphalt caught his frown and quickly shot him a small smile of triumph. Her apology was true and sincere as she could have been. Asphalt's eyes followed him as he circled her, until he was out of her vision. She turned her head slightly just in time.
Asphalt smiled at his fumble turned into a run. When she noticed he seemed discouraged, she frowned. She didn't mean for that to happen. She never liked being mean to pups.
Asphalt hadn't realised she was so "distant" until Trick had said her name. "Oh, sorry, just thinking of some things," she said, smiling sweetly and not humorously for once. "That happens to me a lot..." she added
Asphalt's tail flicked side to side slowly. Then she remebered she had asked him what had been on his mind. "You never told me what you were thinking about earlier," she said, squinting her silvery blue eyes, as if trying to study him from a distance. "But then again you don't have to, I was just curious..." she added quickly.
I need to stop doing that... She thought, thinking about how she daydreamed too much. But as she thought this she was still alert that Trick was in front of her. She didn't want to go off in "la la land" again while he was still there. She found it emberassing. Words;; 241 Mood;; Emberassed, caring

Trick smirked as she apologised for drifting off. Her mind was probably wondering through the somewhere out there beyong the blue sky. He could understand curious. He was curious about her all of a sudden. He wanted to know what she was dreaming about ... or who? Trick let his weight shift from one foot to another. "Thats okay. I'll just say your name more often then. Memorise it..." He said to her apology then watched as she seemed to scrutinize him.
His head flicked away from her as if something in the bushes had caught his eye and he wanted to watch it. He lifted one paw acting really really curious for a moment before he flicked his head back to her his ears dropping by the sides of his head. He sighed. "Right ... you mean Angel...?" His tone was regretfull and sad. He missed Angel. He was almost forgetting what she looked like.
He was forgetting what she sounded like and acted like. He would never forget the feeling of her body shaking in fear next to him though. He was possitive of that one. He dropped his head for a moment before raising it to Asphalt again. "I .... I mean We lost my sister a while ago. I was wondering if you might have seen her pass by at all. Tiny like me. Gracefull, agile and very fearfull. She has a white cream coat...?
He tilted his head hopefully at her praying she would say 'Yes I'll take you to her' but then there was the other side of him that told him that it was a waste of time to be hopefull. Angel was probably laying in a ditch somewhere long ago having breathed her last breath.

Asphalt blinked in surprise. Was her name really that hard to remeber? Oh how would she know. She lived with it all two years of her life. Trick was most definitely an easy name to remeber. Besides, it fit his personality perfect.
As he mentioned Angel she could hear the sadness in his voice. Asphalt regretted asking him, seeing it was a soft subject. Her heart felt heavy for him. How much had he gone through in his short life? Losing you own sibling that young probably felt like the worst thing in the world.
Asphalt thought for a long minute. If she had even see a small glimpse of his sister, she would surely remeber where. She racked her brain about three times before she sighed with despair. "No... I'm sorry..." she said, looking down at her paws. She hated not being able to help others. At this moment she felt like she needed to go out and look for his sister.
Asphalts ears drooped slightly. "I'm sorry..." she added quietly and softly. "If you need help looking for her..." her words trailed off, with a sigh. She couldn't be much help, but having an extra pair of eyes was always good to have. Words;; 214 Mood;; Sad, hopeful

Trick waited for her to think. He could see his sad story had affected her. He hoped she didn;t become too worried or sad. Worried and sad was boring. He prefered happy and eager. He was hopefull that he would find Angel. He was hopefull while Lance was determined. He thought it was a pretty good match. He smirked at the thought and watched her drop her head in discouragement when she said no. The fact that she hadn't seen his sister came as no surprised to him. He partly expected her to say no. He sighed and got up from his seated possition moving closer to her.
Trick sniffed at her ear gently hoping it was comforting. He hoped she wasn't to upset. He wanted to tell her it was okay. "Hey hey its okay really it is... We'll find her. I'm sure we'll find her." He assured her nuzzling into her ear as he sniffed in her scent. He knew when she lifted her head he wouldn't be able to sniff at her any longer. She was tall and she was just tiny. He hated looking the way he did. If he was bigger he was sure she would have found him more attractive.
She was so pretty and so soft. He so wished he was anything but him right now. He wished he was some strong powerfull dog. He wished he could protect her and comfort her better then he was doing now.

Asphalt smiled as he comforted her. Though she felt it needed to be the other way around. She looked at him, and gave him a sweet and sincere smile, signaling that his comforting had worked. She thought what he did was very sweet. He wasn't so muh like a pup now as she had thought before. He seemed a little more mature, once you got through to him.
Asphalt then realised something. "Wait... are you and your sister living alone with each other?" she asked, surprised. What she meant was did they have parents or someone to watch over them. Somehow they seemed too small to be living by themselves. Or at least Trick did since she had never met his sister.
Asphalt thought for a moment. That they must have had an adult. Could they really make it this far without one? She blinked and pushed the thought away before she went into a daze. She knew she couldn't have lived without the help of Missy. She really hoped that they had at least someone to watch over them.
But then again, Asphalt had been a runt. So even with help she still could have died. She remebered Missy saying that she was too determined to let hyer die. Asphalt ould tell she was drifting off again... so easily distracted. Words;; 247 Mood;; VERY thoughtful, concerned

Trick yerked when he remembered where he was supposed to be waiting for Lance. He pulled his head back from Asphalt and glanced past her in the direction of the park exit. Lance was gonna kill him if he found Trick had wondered off again. That was how he had lost his sister. By wondering off when she was sleeping to catch a butterfly. This time it had been a fly. He was in major major trouble. "Uh oh..." He said softly then lifted his eyes to see she had wondered off into space again.
He tilted his head at her and felt a pain already form in his heart at the thought of having to depart from her. He didn't want to leave her. He would never find her again if he left her. His eyes grew sorrowfull as he looked up into her pretty face while she wondered through space. He then after a few moments stepped forwards and nudged his nose at her chest. "Asphalt? " Beautifull Beautifull Asphalt. His Asphalt. He sighed not wanting to say what he had to say.
"I have to go back to the alleyway where I was le-" He gave a little whine as a drip of water dripped onto his head. He left his little dark head up to the sky as a few more drops tumbled around him. Trick dropped his head to the water splatters around him. Rain... Now... He liked rain. Angel hated it. He lifted one front paw then the other looking at the many spots of water with his eyes perked on his head. His tail raised into the air with intrigue before he lifted his eyes to Asphalt against.
"Its raining... Do you have shelter close by?" He prayed for her to say no. He wanted to lead her back to the box claiming that she needed shelter if Lance was there. He would fight with Lance for this Female. He would defend her even though Lance was twice his size. He didn't care. He was faster then the old man anyway.

Asphalt felt Trick nudge her and she realised she was distracted again. She looked down at him and tilted her head. When she heard him say he had to go back to the alley she frowned a little. But before he could finish his scentence, it started to rain. She looked around and was surprised. She hadn't expected that.
Asphalt stood up and looked around for a moment when Trick asked her his question about her having shelter. She turned back to him. "Well not close by but if i run fast enough i might be able to get cover,"
This statement was true. Asphalt could run very fast. But she would feel bad if she left Trick by himself. Even if someone was with him, no one was with him now, and that said something to her. She shook out her fur, and looked towards the alleyway where he had come from. Then she looked back down at him and smiled.
Well, an alleyway wasn't much shelter, but it looked like it would do well. She was just a little questioning about it. If he did have a prent watching over him, Asphalt would most likely be in a jam. She knew adults didn't like others near their pups. Wrods;; 217 Mood;; Worried, gentle

Trick nearly jumped with excitement when she said it was a run away. He shoke his head hurriedly at her. "You cannot possibly run home in this weather. You'll get soaked. " He lifted his little paw sitting down again so he could gentlyly place it against her chest before he dropped it again. The drops were falling thick and fast now. Trick followed her gaze to the Alleyway then his eyes lifted to her and he too smiled realising that without even having to ask she had agreed to stay with him. His heart filled with happiness and without thinking he moved onto his hind legs and lay his front paws against her chest to kiss at the corner of her mouth.
She even tasted perfect. He pulled back slightly realising what he was doing and pushed off her then dropped his head in embarresment. "I guess we go now..." He muttered then moved past her at a brisk pace heading towards the alleyway and the box on the other side of the road. Trick knew he was going to fast but he was too embarresed to even turn around and see if she was still following. He had just kissed her. Just randomly out of the blue kissed her just for saying she would stay with him.
He lifted his head when he realized something then stopped in the middle of the road and turned to face her. "Why are you coming to stay with me?" He barked through the rain at her his eyes squited against the rain now pouring down on them "Is it because I am a pup and you think I need your protection or do you like me?!" He whimpered and licked at his lips as he waited for her reply.
He knew what she was going to say... He knew she didn't like him. He just needed to heard it from her mouth. He was miles faster then any dog around. He needed her words and he would bolt off so neither she not Lance would ever find him again. Him and Angel didn't need anyone. Not now when they were nearly two. They'd be fine on their own...
