DUSTY;; fake my pads lightly kissed the contrete pavement that led to the electricity plant. this place was intresting, it wasn't your average electricity plant. the pungent smell of burnt rotting flesh was faint against the smells of the pack. but you could still smell it, it was still there, ever reminding one what the humans did to us. i sighed gently as my twin soldiers flicker backwards, picking up the sound of a tree whistling in the slight wind. even though you could smell the pack all around, not yet had i came across any of them. though i found this slightly calming, it ment no need to talk for the moment. as my pistons pushed me forwards in a slowed walk, i ignored the yellow sign that had fallen to the floor. for i knew that picture was a lie now, for no electricity had came through this plant for what seemed like lifetimes. it was desolate, abandoned what ever you might want to call it. another as my red tick coloured carcass crept ever more forwards, my skull constantly moved, looking for any sign of movement. my orbs soon pulled in the sights of a doorless entrance. my lungs drew in oxygen and carbon dioxide as they expanded. i made my way to opening, to find a area that the workers would of stayed in or their breaks. it was perfect for as i was nearly there it started to rain. not that i didnt like the feeling of drops of water falling on me, but right now i didn't really feel like getting wet. sniffing gently as i speeded up, i found the scent of stale food and musty ciggaretes. a smile was on my lips as i saw a mouse run across the floor. i bounded forwards and quickly snapped my jaws shut near the floor. i was rewarded with the taste of warm fresh blood, throwing my head back i quickly snapped up the morsal. i found that fresh food that still has pulsating blood was better then rotting garbage found in bins. smile from the middle of the room i could see that chairs lined the walls, with a dining table to the left with more chairs around. there was a couple of vending machines over in the corner by the doorless entrance. letting myself nimbly leap up onto a chair opposite the gap. from where i was i had a good view, is anyone was to enter then i would know about it. i let my carcass go into a sitting position with my tail wrapped round my hind leg. i sighed gently wondering if anyone would actually come across here. was i actually hoping that they would? me that dog that had spent the last two years of his life alone? god help me, for i think i actually was. sneezing, i shook my skull to clear the air around me of any dust that had arose as I had sat down on the chair. now as i was relaxing even more, i sighed as i layed down. with my front paws overlapping, i let my skull stay raised, ready for anything that might appear.

A pale muzzle was raised off two crossed paws. The padded seats of the old Number Fourteen bus were few and far between, but if you knew which were which, you could sneak into one for the night. The dog occuping one of these more comfortable seats hadn't been asleep that night. No, he's been waitful, listening to the sounds around him. Every now and then had been a scuffle of two or more dogs near by. His acute hearing had picked them up before they went out of range. Artemis took a lesuirely streth, his long tail flicking out slightly as he leapt lightly off the chair. His clawed paws clicked gently across the floor of the bus. He took the stairs cleanly in one swift movement, landing first with his front paws, his back curling up behind.
The area in front of him was littered with scrap. He'd lift a paw every so often to dislodge a piece of light scrap that lay in his path. The floor was also coated with a thin layer of grease, one that he could easily rectify. Not that this mattered. Learning to walk over hard surfaces gave you surefootedness. The ability to scale buildings or hard destinations. His tail was lifted out of the grime, sifted softly through the silent air. He scaled the stairs with no trouble, each paw using the grip on the metal. From here he could servay what he was leader of. The pale moonlight reflected off the sides of the bus, throwing it out onto the floor. The regal looking dog bent back his haunches. He didn't need an army. He didn't knwo what he needed. It would come along soon enough if he did need it desperately.
The ledge was easy enough to scale up, which he did so, tail providing excellent balance. There was a hole in the roof of every building on Taurus' ground. It gave them a stratigical advantage. An extra way in and an extra way out. In a fight situation, the pups could get out and there was always the advantage of a fight on the roof. Those in the Taurus pack would know the roofs better than the opponant. So, a situation which benefited them. Something Artemis was all in favour for. Artemis jumped lightly up onto the stacked boxes before climbing out onto the sloping roof. The rain had started to patter down on the bus shelter's corrogated iron roof. Artemis looked up at the bruised, grey clouds. With a slight shake of his silky head, he moved across the roof. His claws clicked on the iron as he leapt lightly through the gap between buildings. It was only two feet or so, nothing for the four paws of a dog. He'd taken the metal sheets cut out from the roofs and pulled them over the rest of the roof-tops, making sure the interior didn't get soaked. The last one was the last building spanning his terratory, the electrisity plant.
The plant was usually warm, because of the generator that never turned itself off. It stayed running, using up electrisity. Not that dogs really needed electrisity, but it did warm the building. Artemis' white and black tipped paws stopped by the whole in the roof. In his jaws he took up the piece of metal he had slewn out with the two males already in his pack. He pulled it across, since it wasn't heavy. Before it was all the way across he leapt down onto the cupboard in the relaxation room. He pulled the sheet across more, it didn't touch the edge or it would fall into the room, but it would keep most of the rain out. He'd spelt the other male dog, but had ignored him, until now. He turned, lightly jumping off the cupboard onto a sofa on the opposite side from the other dog. He sat, spine straight, thick tail curled around his front paws, looking regal as a leader should.

DUSTY;; fake so many things can annoy a dog, each living thing has different fears, different likes and dislikes. you just have to find out what. then you have an advantage over them, you just have to make sure that they dont know yours, else that advantage can quickly dissapear. i shook my skull in an attempt to make the thoughts about mango fly from my mind. in some cases in worked, others it didn't. this time it seemed as if luck was in my favour. with a slight smirk on my lips i raised my head to look at the ceiling. i cursed at myself under my breath, for only now did I realise the hole. my twin soldiers flicked forwards as thet took in the sound of ones footsteps on the rooftops. My orbs followed the trail that I thought the dog was taking, and sure enough a carcass dropped down. i watched in slight wonder as the dog nosed a metal sheet over the hole. another i stayed upon the chair but raised my own carcass into a sitting position, my head raised and my tail curling round my hind leg. i could tell that this male had power though how much power i didnt know at the moment. my name, i would hold my name back from him until i thought the moment was ready. untill we had spoke for atleast a while. for never, never do you know how much power one has over you once they know your name. my eyes followed the dog as he made his way over to the other side of the room. and he sat, sat as regal as a king would. so i guessed that my company was so much more then i was. so much more then s guy without a pack. it looked as if i would have to be the one to start the conversation. i sighed quietly, before mulling over what to say. it looks like this misery will never end. smile i wondered what he would make of that staement i made. even i myself had little idea about it. a slight smile was played on my lips as i watched the collie mix that sat opposite me. he looked as if at one point in his life he had, had intensive training. for what i would not know, unless he ever decided to. i myslef had now decided what i ment by what i said, but would he ever?thats it, enough of those thoughts. he would make it what he wanted to. my twin soldiers where flicked towards the solitude dog. the dog that held himself so regally, with his spine straight no lounging around for him it seemed.

Black ears twitched. They didn't need to listen out for anything that the sole dog was doing, as he had him in his sights. With a light turn of his head, he looked across into the plant. From here the soft clip-clip of the generator was evident. Closer to it was louder, much louder. It sounded more like a rythmic thunder storm close to. But, here it just let the warm air circulate, rising in a currant. The warm air was spilt out through the generators vents and circled, rising gently as a cloud. Then, as it rose, it would cool, becoming heavier, denser. This would fall back down towards the floor of the plant, once again to get heated by the generators powerful turning mechanism.
it looks like this misery will never end.
Of course, this could mean a great number of things. Artemis was a calculating dog. He took his time. He was patient, quiet. He let things go passed if they had no need to bother him. Usually things did not. This statement could be refering to the weather. The rain was now coming down in sheets, clapping down onto the roof with a force. The windows were getting a good clean as the water streamed down the outside. Another way to take this could have been the silence that eminated from both dogs. Artemis quite liked silence, it was calming. He didn't generally speak unless it gave some purpose, and didn't reply unless he had cause to do so. At this time, with a new potential recruit, he may make the slight effort to engage him in conversation. But, since he had started the conversation before him, it showed confidence. Purhaps self confidence. This Artemis encouraged. Self confidence and a free will. He didn't want drones in his pack.
"All misery will end." He replied, his tone indifferent as his features. Very little emotion escaped Artemis at any time. He was indifferent to most things, left uncaring and level. It helped on a battle feild, leaving him with more of a chance. He could be called heartless, but then again, it may be true. But, not as the darks were. He had no vindictive persona, he just worked as any would. Don't let things get in the way and they won't. He studyied the dog infront of him. Confidnet, relaxed. He himself let his paws fold out infront of him. His backbone was bent now, slightly more anyway. His eyes fixed on the dog infront of him. A habit he had. He stared, not because he wished to, just because he didn't blink a lot. It tended to intimidate. It wasn't his intention it just did. As his paws folded he laid down on the sofa's soft cushions, one of his favourite places to sleep. His tail brushed against the arm of the sofa, sweeping back and forth.

DUSTY;; fake my tail lightly tapped at the soft chair that i was sat upon. not out of happiness, but just because i felt the need to use it. life. it has its ups and downs, but why would one throw ones life away? you only get to live upon this earth once in all of the universes lifetime. the animals that commit suicide, the animals that are silly enough to be caught when hunted. though some animals dont have a choice in the matter, those that are experimented on by the humans, those that are the slaves to those that dont care. i wouldn't throw ones life away unless i needed to. i would hunt, because that was part of the circle of life. when one animal dies of good causes then another is born. its natures way of saying sorry for the loss of life. another i mentaly sighed as i remembered that i had company. it was so easy to forget when all you could hear was silence. though i found silence pleasurably exciting. the way you could almost feel the electricity in the room, the many things that silence could be. calming, frightening, downright fearful. silence was one of the things that captivated me. but this silence was broken as the other dog began to speak. "All misery will end." that was true enough. though as i mulled over what to say, i soon realised that everything could be reborn, even feelings. but soon enough it can be reborn. my lips closed as i let out my last word. my voice heldno emotion, it hardly ever did. though sometimes a sarcastic hint could be heard. but not this time, not today. smile i watched the black and tan collie mix carefully, you never know what someone may do. especially since i was trespassing on his lands. thoughtruefully i did not care, if he attacked then i would be the only one to get hurt. for no one cared for me, not even that bitch mango anymore. i grinded my teeth as i thought of her, but stopped as i realised he could take it offenseifly. now i would wait, wait to se what he would do or say next.

Artemis let himself relax. This conversation was much more to his liking than the ones he had had recently. All these dogs around had too much feeling for Artemis to really enjoy a conversation. He wasn't the best conversationalist in his day, but when prompted he definatly could talk, just about things other dogs didn't tend to understand. He'd picked up a lot of lingo when he was being tested on. Some things he still didn't understand, but being interlectually enhanced had made him understand much more. Life for instance. Life was a series of rolls of a dice. Things that turned on a dime, never the same once or twice. Everything was a mathmatical equation. All chances were given a score of probability. Sometimes you could predict using this probability what was going to happen. All on the drop of a hat. Crazy
but soon enough it can be reborn.
Artemis let one paw slide forward slightly, bending over the edge at what a human would call a wrist. His paw lay, relaxed and perfectly balanced over the edge. His bushy tail brushed over the arm of the sofa, brushing off the dust. He beat his tail slightly over the sosfa, knocking off the dust. He didn't mind getting covered in dust or dirt, but he felt the need to knock it off if he could. Like getting wet, what was the point of dripping if you could shake off the droplets. It kept you much warmer than if you didn't and just stayed shivering whilst other dogs moved away, perfectly warm. The dog was clearly in his sites as he lay on the sofa, the warm air circulating around the room, keeping them both warm.
"Why such the pesimism?" He asked finally after the slight pause, eyes fixed upon the new arrival. Hopefully he would become one of the pack, Artemis could definatly see this dog sitting as his second. The same personality, yet it seemed different ideas. Both dogs were similar enough in their ways of communicating, and Artemis knew for a fact there had been a mouse running around this room, which it looked had been disposed of. Perfect.

DUSTY;; fake one could say that this dog though on the same channel as me, but then others could disagree. i thougt that he had a more positive view on life, though maybe he had found his place to be, or maybe it was just his nature. so many maybe, so many choices. life it seemed was always a choice, you could choose to die an early death so you wouldn't see yourself grow old, or you could live out the rest of your days until you can hardly move due to artheitis. to me both sounded not so good, i would die when the gods told me to. let nature take its course. i sighed to myself quietly, really i did need to get a better view of things, stop being so negative. my eyes never left the dog that sat opposite me, my eyebrows raised slightly as he relaxed. well it looked like i had nothing to be afraid of, but i remained sitting, ready to bolt at any moment. another as i remained sitty, i raised my twin soldiers towards the dog as he started talking again. "Why such the pesimism?" the answer to his question was simple. and i let my voice leave my lips softly, almost like kissing silk. my voice had come back. i felt as if i could talk to this guy, it was strange, never had it happened before. it is because i have yet to have found the place where i belong. shaking my red ticked skull, i let myself study the dog. so far neither of us knew eachothers names, yet in no way did that bother me. what where names anyway? just words to hide behind, words to live up to or words to die of embarresment. i did not care for my name, though i guess i like it more then dislike it. thats it enough with the names, with a shake of my skull i attempted to forget about my thoughts. yet with the silence that was now between us, i felt as if i just had to do something.
OOC- Muse just went blargh -.- sorry

Perfect harmony of the building. It was designed that way, or it would have been brought down years ago. The heat that radiated from the machinery was always ventilated around in a wide circular arc, spanning the whole building. Since this room was on the bottem floor, it was comfortably warm. Yet, when you started to get closer to the machinery, the heat could become unbearable, something you just didn't wish to handle. So, Artemis had investigated the place before, but had found nothing a but a few feral rats and a pigeon. Nothing signifigant, and nothing he felt like eating. He didn't eat a great deal, was reverting back to his wilder side of only eating once a week and then hunting once more. You could say he was hungry, but his years of control with his feelings had definatly set in with self control about his hunger or thirst. There was definatly enough water around, the rain water, but he prefered the water from the river, it ran clean and fresh. Again, he didn't drink a great deal either, just enough to keep up his intact level of strength. Perfect.
it is because i have yet to have found the place where i belong.
Artemis inclinded his head slightly. In one fluid movement he raised himself to his four paws, the cushions underneath him staying relevtively still, his weight perfectly distributed. Almost imperceptable movements between the balance his tail kept and the height of his head held him perfectly still as he watched the dog across from him for a moment. "You are welcome to stay here for as long as you see fit." He replied, nothing leaking into his impassive voice or expression. He leapt lightly from the pillows onto the thick window ledge. His front paws took up another level to the top of the wardrobe, where he reahced up his muzzle to nudge the large sheet of metel out of the way. "Come, unless you are adversed to the rain." His tone was as cordial as ever. He let himself up onto the top of the wardrobe. Since it was so close to the ceiling, he had to crouch, his paws touching his chest. He decided to lie there, one paw over the side of the wardrobe, his tail contentedly washing over the slight crack in the metal work. It wasn't raining hard outside, but a quick pitta-patter. He didn't mind if the newcomer decided not to join him, he was only going for a rooftop walk across the dark iron roofs.

DUSTY;; fake with a small sigh i let myself come down from the sofa chair i was sitting on with a small leap. my tail in its normal stance balencing me with every leap that i might take. i studied the male infront of me, a dog that knows rules, methods that normal dogs would never dream of understanding. i was one of those, but only because i knew he would never explain them, though really i was not to bothered. my tail flew from side to side slowly and only an inch each side, no mor, no less. as i breathed, my lungs where filled with oxygen and carbon dioxide, and when i exhaled alot more carbon dioxide then anything else. another with my twin soldiers flicking towards the lead dog, i took in this words. "You are welcome to stay here for as long as you see fit.". so i was offered a place here in his pack, loyal i would be, just like anyother dog or bitch that joined his pack would be. i replied with a couple short words, no emotion ringing through me voice, just the same velvety soft type they always where. ah, then i must say thankyou. my eyes followed the dog as he lept from the cushions he was resting upon to the ledge and then up onto the wardrobe near the ceiling. with a small sigh of contemptant, i let myself move into a fluid lope as i readied myself to leap from the floor, to the cushions and then to the window ledge in a few bounces. smile i sat contendedly on the window ledge, it was just big enough for me to sit comfortably enough. i would of jumped to the wardrobe but alas it was not big for two, and anyway no way did i want to invade his personal space. just wasnt polite. well not in my head it wasnt. my twin soldiers flicked towards the dog as i took in his second set of words. i didnt say anything, did i really need to? rain was something that refreshed you, hid your tears of pain and sometimes even happiness. to me i considered in a friend. nimbly jumping onto the wardrobe, i bounced up onto the metal roof. with my carcass starting to darken due to the rain, i sat and waited for the lead dog to come up aswell. as i waited the the of my tail flicked up and down.

Artemis scrambled out onto the roof. It was slippery under his paws, but if you knew where the rough patches were you could stand your ground. The roof sloped steaply downwards, but Artemis made the easy progress upwards, his claws giving his leaverage and his tail giving him balance. His dark black coat with the russett underlays was slowly turning a dark her shade. Obviously the black cout not change colour, but it was certainly glistening under the rain. The russett was slowly turning to a dark chocolate brown. A brown like a 60% cocoa chocolate bar, not the pale milky brown of other chocolate. Although his belly and the colour under his strong jaw could be described as a white chocolate. It wasn't completely white, with specks of black and russett. It was more of a beige with a tan underlay. Most colours of white were not actually white. They were cream or white chocolate. Like most colours of black were not just black. They had an underlay colour, a purple or a navy. Something that distingusished them. His black was a browny black, in his summer coat it could almost seem 90% cocoa chocolate brown. Not a nasty colour, but a thinner black.
Artemis turned his head as he heard Dusty follow him out into the rain. His bright eyes watched with mild interest. He seemed a sturdy enough animal, strong and capable. He had kept his balance so far. Artemis had to admit that this had been a test. A test to see whether he could keep his balance on the slippery roof. He considered it was a a rather good test, since if they failed they inevitabely fell off the roof. Not something he really wanted to happen, but it would teach them for next time. He wasn't a full storey up, so they'd only fall around four metres. Artemis breathed in the cool air, filling his lungs with the fresh air. "You can see all three terratories from here on a day such as this." He commented calmly looking through the clear air. It was raining but it was also bright. "The Mafia land ends just before the street with the single lamp, the Reflux just by the hanger and the Cambridge land stops by the river. The rest is Taurus land." He explained before lapsing into silence, looking over his lands.

DUSTY;; fake with a smile tugging at the corners of my lips, i survayed Artemis as he to jumped up to the roof. the roof top was certainly slippy, with each raindrop adding the the mess. with a smooth fluid movement, i stood up. with the electrical plant beneath us, i could see the garage and the other buildings that were in Artemis's lands. as he spoke i followed with my eyes to where he mentioned. to the east where the lamp post was ended the mafia lands, to the west the Reflux lands started from the hanger and finally the cambridge lands which both began and ended at the river. with a nod of recognotion, i let my lips part to start a different conversation. it seems that you have many members. another my tail flicked gently from side to side, not out of friendliness, yet not out of annoyance either. i just moved for the sake of moving it.
NOT DONE
