The dog’s name was Rogue. Night had fallen upon the city as Rogue arrived at the unknown building. She looked up and noticed that it had fallen into disrepair long ago, and ambulance lay on its side and, coming over to sniff she sighed. There wasn’t even a hint of prey outside. Her gaze fixed itself upon the unknown building. “Maybe some rodents inside.” Her stomach growled with annoyance and looking down she sighed, “Be patient.”
She moved up the stairs looking quite ghostlike in the night, her breath trailing out her muzzle slowly; creating a shine above her head. She blinked upon coming in; feeling the cold linoleum floor below her paws gave her a chill. Nostrils flared as they took in the cool air, giving Rogue all she needed to find the mice that had scurried under the many overturned hospital beds and equipment. Making her way through the halls she picked up a mouse here and there, gulping the small creatures down easily. They did not fill her completely, but kept the gripping hunger from flaring up again. Her stomach appeased the female walked about, looking for rest for the night. She came upon what was once, in all probability a laundry room. Sheets lay in distortion everywhere, and with a few easy pushes with her muzzle she had made a nest. Rogue lay, her body stiff from having slept so lon earlier. But oddly enough, she was tired once more. Though as she lay her head down, she found that she was to frightened to sleep, to lonely. A laugh escaped her, “Why worry. That’s what you will be from now on. Alone.” The word, now spoken, shoved out from the darkness scared her. Slowly her blue eyes traveled to the ceiling, which had collapsed, and at the moon

Cyanide's body shimmered as she made her way into the abandoned hospital. The hospital looked like some kind of giant behemouth looming before her. Her ears were lifted on either side of her head, listening to the noises of the night. A chilly breez whipped patches of her fur in several directions. Her blades and pelvis rolled easily with each step , paws hardly making a sound as she moved. Tail was hanging down between her back legs, swaying from the motion of the gait. Lower jaw dropped , salmon pink tongue lolling out and resting over her bottom two canines as she panted slightly.
While it wasn't hot out, she did this normally while she was trotting to keep herself cool.
Behind the hospital, the full moon hung high in the sky, bathing the roof in the silverish glow. It was rather creepy but she loved it anyway. She slipped easily inside the hospital and put her nose to the ground snuffling along. Another dog was here. Another bitch. Smirking, Cyanide followed the scent like a blood hound. She came across the bitch, not too far off. The other female was much smaller than she was, but that didn't matter to Cyanide. She slipped her haunches into a sitting position, letting her tail wrap around her back legs, flicking on occasion. Forelegs coming around to the front of her chest, keeping her upper body erect. Ears were cocked forward as she listening to the female.
"Hello there. What do we have here?" Cyanide smirked in a cooing tone as her blue eyes twinkled with malice and smugness. Cyanide LOVED to mess with the heads of other females. It was kinda fun really to watch their expressions. Highly entertaining. Cyanide's jaw closed as she stopped panting and waited for the other to respond.

Rogue sprang from her place in the sheet nest. Her muscles instantly rippling; yes she was young, not even half a year old But fighting was in her, and she could hold her own. The fae in front of her was a bit taller but not by an immense amount, and sensing a slight amount of malice from the other. Her hackles rose as she took a defensive stance, backing against the wall and locking her eyes with the other dog.
“Rogue.” Her voice was soft and questioning, she could not tell if it was of herself or the other.
Lowering her head to both protect her throat and show respect toward her elder she moved forward, still staring into the eyes of the opposite female and; lowering her tail between her legs, she licked the edge of Cyanides maw as her instincts told her to do so. She snuffed the bigger dog’s fur then back away a bit, rolling over and showing her belly. Hoping that this would not be the end.

Cyanide watched the young pup roll over onto her belly, exposing it to her. Cocking her head to one side, Cyanide looked at Rogue curiously but with a bit of pleasure seeing someone show her respect.
Cyanide snorted and rolled her eyes.
"Get up pup. I am Cyanide, ruler of the Cambridge pack. Where is your family?" she questioned, making her tone not a statement but a question. A gentle breeze whipped patches of her fur in several directions. Her body was kept rigid and tight as her blue eyes looked over the pup. Rogue was healthy looking, so that was good. Cyanide decided to lie down and lowered her abdomen onto the ground, letting her forelegs stretch out in front of her. She watched the pup curiously.
"This is a highly dangerous place, pup. Why are you even here?" she demanded.
Surely a bitch wouldn't let her pup get that far away from her right? Cyanide wondered to herself but shook her head, clearing her thoughts away. Perhaps this pup proved to be weak and a nuissance. Which then I could understand why she ditched the fae
Cyanide's nose quivered as she picked up a few scents that hit the air. The air was coming in strong. There was a storm coming in. Sure enough as Cyanide raised her eyes to the sky, dark storm clouds were rolling in. The temperature dropped a bit as well. Cyanide raised her eyes back onto Rogue while she was waiting for the pup to respond. The fall was coming in like a lion. She wondered now what the winter was going to hold in store for them. A faint shiver ran down her spine as she sat there, blue eyes catching the light making them glow as she waited.

Rogue followed the other dog’s muzzle to the missing ceiling, and upon noticing the storm clouds shivered. She had never liked storms, their power frightened her. She lifted herself off the ground and stood, her head titled to the side.
Her voice was once again quiet and a bit unsure. “Family?” She questioned, “I…havn’t one.”
Her memory gave a shock and an image appeared, she was in a cage alone howling for family.
But they would not come. “I don’t think I’ve ever had family. Do you?”
She looked down at the female’s side and sighed, perhaps she would be allowed to accompany the older female to sleep. It would be nice not to be alone, even if the other was a bit frightening
“I don’t even know what this place is.” She mused thinking over all the possibilities of what the large building could be. Perhaps it was a torture facility, or a Market. No. It wouldn’t smell this way if it was either of those.
She looked back at the fae and smiled a bit, “So what is your name?” Rogue was not aware of the coming cold, nor of really anything else at that moment. She would perhaps try to make friends with this dog. Or at least gain some protection from her

Cyanide noticed the expression the pup gave her. Against her better judgement, she sighed and turned to the pup.
"If your cold pup you can come closer," she said to Rogue and watched her with her blue orbs. She listened to her words. She hadnt' a family? Surely her mother is around somewhere? Cyanide wondered but shook her head, becoming hard again as she heard the pups next question about having family herself. Cyanide let out a sarcastic laugh.
"Ha ha! Oh thank you pup for entertaining me!" Cyanide laughed coldly. "I have no family. I never did. I was apart of the experiements done on Canine Ridge. I have no idea where my family is or even if they are alive...and frankly at this point I dont care."
Her tone hardened. Why hadn't her family stopped those bastard scientists from taking her away? Surely they could've fought! Cyanide thought angrily as she heard the pups' next question about what this place was.
"It's an abandoned hospital. It's where the humans went when they were sick. But they aren't sick anymore...they aren't even around," Cyanide let out a low chuckle as she gazed up at the sky , seeing teh stars twinkling merrily beside the moon. It was strangely relaxing for her to lie there and gaze up at the sky. For the life of her, Cyanide would and could never be mean to a puppy. She had a heart, but it was as dark as oil and buried deep in her chest. Digging required patience and a lengthy amount of time. However, this pup never once spoke to her in a rude tone or anything so Cyanide was being a bit more softer than usual with her. But that didn't mean she couldn't snap in a instant given the right atmosphere. She watched Rogue, waiting.

Rogue happily lay down next to Cyanide; her demeanor was much more relaxed now and she felt oddly secure.
“You are very kind.” The air became ever colder and Rogue squished closer. “So, if you do not mind my asking, where do you come from?”
She then lay her head upon the floor before letting out a yawn head. Rogue snorted as a little bit of dust flew up her nose. She then looked back up at the sky, hoping fruitlessly that the moon would come out again.
Rogue felt a bit bad for butting into the fae’s business and tried to be a bit more quiet. Her eyes, now gold, looked at the wall across from her, the markings on it were strange and made by humans. She knew it was a way they communicated and wished she could know what it said.
Her mind was wracking now, trying to figure things out, she felt incredibly happy right now, as if she was being mothered, but she, in her sentient mind did not know what that meant. She could feel a headache coming on and wondered why the dog hadn’t said her name. She sighed, and felt her ears perk thinking she had heard something. But perhaps it was just a fleeting lapse of insanity.
“Do you have any pups?” She questioned, hoping that she was not bothering the older female from more pressing matters.

Cyanide felt the pup curl up next to her. She briefly glanced down at Rogue before raising her blue eyes back onto the sky. She sighed a bit rather dejectedly, but answered Rogue anyway.
"No I dont have any pups at this point. Me kind? Pup you really dont know me that well. I was one of the dogs that attacked the humans." she said lowering her blue orbs to the pups and felt her body tense up.
It was true. Cyanide was one of those dogs that had attacked the humans. The rage that had built up in her chest had exploded. She still had memories of those awful tests done on her and those scientists taht were in white clothes and masks, poking needles in her. This pup had a lot to learn about her and what had happened, but it wasn't the pups fault. She wasn't around 80 years ago. But it was high time that someone told this pup the brutal truth about why there were no humans around anymore. Perhaps this pups family was one of those that had died and were dumped in teh creek. There were rumors about that place anyway that it was haunted. Cyanide flicked her tail from side to side, sweeping across the ground stirring up a bit of dirt and leaves. She turned to Rogue.
"I was fed up with the experiments and having those disgusting humans poking needles at me every time. Enough was enough. The rest of the experiemts boycotted and decided it was time that the humans became the ones that were jabbed and poked and were evidently wiped out completely. I wouldn't go back and change anything for a single strip of beef" Cyanide said her tone slightly hardening at the last few words she spoke to Rogue. She waited to see what Rogue's response would be.

Rogue felt she, yet again, had asked too much of the dog and became frightened; perhaps Cyanide would leave because of Rogue’s annoying questions. She defiantly did not want that. She spoke somewhat slowly as though trying to gather her thoughts and think of what to say, the smaller fae could feel herself becoming oddly excited with the thought of culling the humans and felt when her companion tense up “Was it worth it?” She mused. Oddly she didn’t really know what a human even looked like except for the shadows that caused her pain during her dreams. Her foot twitched then and she looked at it. A passing thought, odd that the body moves sometimes when the mind does not tell it to. As though it is trying to escape itself or telling the mind that something was not right and they had to leave. Just a passing thought yes, but a strange one nonetheless. Her ears swiveled again then, thinking that they had heard laughter of some sort. She heard this often in her head and already knew that it wasn’t real. She didn’t know where it came from, but time and time again it would creep up around her and envelope the small figure she held in it. Rogue stood then walking a bit then looking back and smiling, “Would you like to walk with me?” She glanced around slowly, “You said this place was dangerous and I would like to find some more food and perhaps a better place to stay.” She paused and sat, “I don’t mean to be a bother but, I kind of just woke up here and don’t remem…” She didn’t want to say anything else and look silly so she wait for the response of the larger, hoping that she would help the pup.

Cyanide nodded and smirked. Oh how it was definitely worth it. she thoguht to herself an nodded at Rogue's suggestion of taking a walk. Her own legs were getting rather stiffened and tight from staying in one spot for such a long time.
She pulled herself up onto all fours and gave her body a rigorous shake, ears flapping against her skull. She regarded Rogue with her blue orbs and took a few steps forward before stopping and craning her head around to look at Rogue over her shoulder.
"Yeah come on. I know a good place where we can go to get food. I'll have to get it for you though, unless you know how to hunt?" Cyanide asked slowly raising a furry eyebrow at Rogue.
At Rogue's present age, Cyanide didn't think so. That was fine. She could kill something for the two of them. She knew exactly where to go as well. Hunting was one of her better traits, as she was really good at it. Her tail hung down between her back legs, the tri colored fur fluttering softly in the chilly brisk breeze. Ears were lifted on either side of her head, hearing the crow squawking in the distant horizon. Cyanide tended to get bored easily with not entertained rapidly. She was normally able to entertain herself by making fun of the others but now, with Rogue, she couldn't do that. She found she wasn't able to bring herself to mock this puppy. Why? She didn't know.
"If you don't I can get food for you," she said blinking adn keeping her blue eyes on Rogue. Lower jaw dropped, salmon pink tongue lolling out and resting over her bottom two canines as she panted slightly.
