Gunth winced as cold slimy water lapped slowly at his ankles, it was nearly impossible to see through its murky darkness. The large black shepherd shifted uncomfortably, the thick dampness hung in his nostrils making it hard to smell anything. Looking over his shoulder, he could just barely make out the light coming from the entrance where he had entered. "This is just mad!" He told himself, wrinkling his nose at the horrible scent. The steady thrum of the rain outside was no longer audible, instead the sound of dirty, slow moving water replaced it. Trying not to breath to much, Gunth pushed himself forward, lifting his mucky forepaws in and out of the slime. The splashes made by his walking echoed around him and down the tunnel. The brute tried to ignore it, his dark colored eyes flashing here and there, trying to find a dry place to lay. For a while more he walked, just when he thought that he would have to go back, a small stone platform caught his eye. There was a pale gray light from a grate above that told him he must be under a human road! Trotting forward he eagerly lifted himself on to it, where he was raised above the water. Gunth sighed with relief at the feeling of cold dry stone beneath his pads. "Finally..."He murmured, trying to keep his voice down. Settling down on his haunches, he managed to fit his large body across the slab, though he just barley fit. Placing his head on his large muddy forepaws, Gunth let his body relax, a few rain drops escaped through the grate and onto his pelt, but he didn't mind.

Datia had come into the tunnel seeking somewhere quiet, dry and safe, her dark grey and white coat completey wet through, she was cold and shivering, and the cold water running around her paws didnt help, she padded on further into the tunnel, she found a platform that was raised out of the freezing water, she carefully pulled herslef up onto it, she shook herself trying to rid the water from her pelt, she then lay down in an exhausted and shivering heap, her whole body quivvering, she wrapped her fluffy tail around herself and she curled up as much as she could, but no matter what she tried, she couldnt seem to get any warmer, she lay there shivering, she sighed heavily, but then something caught her nose, a strange scent wafting through the tunnel, it was that of a male unknown dog, she didnt really care though at the moment, she was cold and tired, she knew that her scent would be flowing towards the male, but she didnt care, she lay there shivering, her eyelids becoming heavier and heavier by the second, she didnt know how much longer she would stay awake to the world, nut some how she managed to force herself to stay awake, just incase the unknown male might try to attack her

Gunth had his eyes shut tight, his breathing came slow and relaxed, he was on the verge of falling asleep when suddenly his ears pricked forward. Eyes still closed, he focused on the sounds of splashing from behind him. "Now what?" He thought quickly, eye lids flickering open. The tunnel was still dark, he tried to catch a scent but all that came was the damp smell of mold and sewage. The splashing was getting closer, by now Gunths head was lifted, nostrils flared and eyes alert. The black furred male was about to get up when suddenly it stopped. Gunth sat still for a moment, waiting for the splashing to return but it never did. Grunting, he forced himself to his paws the thought of going back through the water made him cringe but he lowered himself in anyway. "If theres some one else here, maybe I should go!" He mumbled, not wanting to get caught up in something. Sighing, he was about to turn around and go farther down the tunnel, when suddenly curiosity struck him. "Maybe I'm just hearing things?" Gunth told himself out loud. For a while he stood there, until finally he decided to go and check it out. Trying to walk quietly as he could, he kept his eyes sharp waiting for anything. As he turned a slight corner, he nearly barked in surprise, there on yet another stone lay a wet and tired looking husky femme. The shepherd hoped she hadn't noticed, but he knew it was to late, the sudden splashing must have alerted her.

she lifted her head and looked at the male, she shuffled back on the ledge hoping that he was at least neutral and wouldnt attack her, her back was on the wall now, her body was still shaking from the cold, her head lay on her paws, but her eyes stayed on the dog, he didnt look like he was going to attack, but he didnt look as if he was going to run away either, he just kind of stood there looking at her, it made her feel slightly nervous, she wanted to ask him why he was there, but she really didnt have the energy to try and say a word, she just blinked her big hazel brown eyes at him, her dark grey and white pelt was still soaked through, being a husky meant that the cold didnt normally effect her so much, but because she was wet, the cold got to her more, she just lay there looking quite pathetic and sorry for herself, shivering quite harshly, her breathing was quite fast, her tail wrapped around her, her eyelid kept dropping, but she would force them open again, she didnt yet know whether she could trust this strange dog or not

Gunth blinked in the awkward silence, the water swirling annoyingly around his ankles. He watched as she lifted her head and stared back, but made no move to talk, instead she lay her head back down, but still continued watching him. "Er...sorry!" The shepherd mumbled, his heavy voice bouncing off the greasy tunnel walls nearly made him jump. He thought about leaving right away, she obviously didn't want to be disturbed by a large brute like himself! "I don't feel like talking anyway!" Gunth thought quickly, but he still didn't move. "Um...I'll just, leave I guess" He woofed quietly, mostly to convince himself to get going. Giving the shivering husky a quick nod, Gunth turned to go, his thoughts set on getting out of the tunnel. Sluggishly, the black pelted male took a few clumsy steps forward, nearly tripping over his own paws. He made a face as he thought about what would have happened if his muzzle would have plunged into the muck. Cautiously, Gunth peered over his shoulder, he pitted the sight of the cold husky, and yet again felt his paws turn to stone. He felt stuck, even though he knew that there was nothing holding him back.

she nodded her head weakly and watched him walk off, but didnt understand why he had stopped, there was nothing telling him to stay, yet he stood there looking as if he didnt know what to do, she lifted her head again, her harks pricked forwards, "y...you c...c...can st...stay if you w...want" she managed to weakly stutter, just audiable, she generally liked being on her own, but the thought of shivering to death down in these dark tunnels by herself didnt appeal to her, she hoped that something inside the male would make him stay, at least for a little while, she lowered her head again, her eyelids barely staying open, her body still quaking from the cold, her breathing fast and shallow, she didnt want to be alone anymore, she wanted someone to look after her, make her feel loved, she sighed weakly, a stray tear trickled down her wet cheek, she hoped that the male didnt notice, she hoped he would just think it was water rolling off her coat, but she also hoped he would see it and come over to comfort her, she was so mixed up, her mind was a mess, she looked at the male, her vision now blurred, her eyelids flickered again
