Madness is the gift,

Roxy ran within the darkness of the forest. It was so black, without her keen smell and sight, she would have never been able to maneuver through the land. It was so dark and deep, the trees seem to go on forever. Roxy was sure she would never be able to escape this forest. It was so dark, and there was no sign of light anywhere.

Still she kept running, in a sick hope that she would find her way out. She hoped over what she hoped were tree roots, but what she knew were bones of the dead. Oh god, please let me find a way out. Her pace quickened, as her eyes became fixed on a area of the forest that seemed to thin. She plunged towards it, going faster and faster, trying to get to it quickly, whatever it was.

As she arrived in the clearing, her heart raced faster and her stride faltered. A cemetery. She whined and began to back up, her steps getting faster as she tried to escape the clearing. She kept backing up, until her haunches slammed into a tree. She jumped spinning around to face the massive oak. Her tail was flat between her legs as her eyes scanned the forest nervously. She sat down by the tree, her head hanging low. I'll never get out.

Twilight padded through the dark forest hoping he could finally be alone. He growled slightly as he smelled a femme. He didn't move he just laid down and hoped the femme wouldn't smell him. The big wolf peered through the darkness and let out a happy sigh. This was how Twilight liked things peaceful and dark. He was born in this forest so it brought back many memories of his puphood to be here. Twilight laid his head down as he thought of the good times he had as a pup. He tried not to doze off because it was dangerous to sleep out in the open in these woods. He sat up with a jolt as he heard pawsteps coming toward him. He growled loudly startled by the noise he couldn't see what it was. Twilight didn't know if it was the dog he smelled or something else so he braced himself just in case.

Roxy could smell the wolf as he grew closer to her. She noticed his scent seemed to just stop growing stronger. He was staying in one place. What is he doing? She whimpered quietly, her mind racing over all the things he could be doing. Waiting to hurt me? Trying to torture me? Plotting his attack? Stalking me? Her mind raced through all the horrible possibilities, and her fear grew stronger.

Roxy had enough of sitting there crying and stressing. If death was near, she wanted it to just come, rather then sit there and wait. Please, whoever you are, if your going to attack me, just get it over with! I'm going to die here anyways! She called out into the darkness. I really am going to die here. Roxy thought to herself. As that realization came to her mind, she seemed to relax, like it wasn't that big of a deal, just something that would happen and she had no choice. No, don't think like that. Roxy told herself.

She lifted her muzzle, pointing it to the sky. She let out a long, loud, distressed howl. Someone, anyone, help me!

Twilight growled again and said "I shall not hurt you femme..." He stood on all fours and said "Come out you can trust me... even if i am a wolf." He wondered if this femme would believe him. When would you ever trust a wolf? and especially in a dark forest. He sat down and waited to see if she would show herself. Twilight thought she sounded lost and scared and now she probably thought he was going to kill her. He looked down at his blood stained paws and waited for a reply from the femme.

Roxy decided to just trust him. She would die if she didn't, and she may die if she did. She really had nothing to lose. She stood up on all fours, and stepped out from behind the tree. She let her eyes adjust for a moment, and she followed the scent, her eyes fixing on it's source. She could see the faint outline of a large wolf.

Will you help me please? I will forever been in debt to you if you can just help me out of this nightmare. She bowed her head her tail stayed motionless, showing she was no threat to him and she wanted to give into him. She wasn't looking to be in charge, she just wanted to make it through this whole ordeal alive.

Roxy took a few nervous steps towards the faint figure. As she drew closer, she could really see his size and power. He could do whatever he wanted with her, and she'd have no shot. Still this mysterious figure standing before her was her only hope. There was no other chance for her, so she had to give in to him. Whatever he wanted, she'd have to do, she had no other choice.

Twilight laughed and said "Why should i help you? What's in it for me?" He liked to mess with other dogs Twilight grinned at her. He could tell she had no power over him making him in charge. Twilight thought over her words and said "I suppose i could help you." He sighed at the thought of helping this femme but if he didn't she would surely die.

Roxy trotted over to him quickly, even though she was terrified. The closer she got to him, the larger he was, and her chances of survival grew smaller. She gulped down a lump of fear and moved beside him. She bowed her head respectively, even though he wasn't a real alpha. Although, he was totally alpha over her in this situation.

Hello sir, I'm Roxy of the neutral lands. Thank you for helping me. As she spoke, she quickly wanted to take back a few of her words. He may hate the neutrals, and want to kill me for saying that, and for being one.

Roxy tried to make eye contact with him, but she found every time she caught even the corner of her eye, her confidence faded and she wanted to run away. His power over her was terrifying, because not only did she know he held the power, but he did too. He could use this knowledge to his advantage, and she would stand no chance. With his size alone, he could dominate any situation. He was massive.

I was wondering, if you could help me get out of this forest? I'm sort of lost.

Twilight laughed and replied "Yes i can help you but the question is will i? He grinned his evil wolf grin and waited for her reply he had complete control over this situation. He showed the femme his teeth making sure she knew his power. Twilight was alpha here and if she didn't obey him she would die. He watched her closely his orbs shining through the dark forest as he waited in silence. The big gray wolf let out a soft growl just to send fear shivering through her. Twilight did not relax even for a second instead he waited battle ready. He did not plan to kill her but still he did not let his guard down.

As he spoke, his arrogance finally started to get to her. I don't care if I die, there is no way I'm letting this idiot rule me like this. She rolled her eyes and turned, plodding in the opposite direction. Forget it, I rather die then have to listen to your commands. She was half way through the cemetery when she picked up a scent that made her mind flood with relief.

It was a trail, a very heavily used trail, with the scent of the city at it's end. It was a trail leading out of this place, she just knew it. Her thoughts ran back to the wolf she'd just left. Looks like I don't need your help after all. Thanks for absolutely nothing. She smiled, feeling very pleased with herself.

Roxy was half way down the path now, and knew she was in the clear. If his scent grew closer, she could just run, and she was pretty fast. She'd make it back to the city before he caught up with her, then she'd have her pack to back her up. He has no control over me anymore.

Twilight growled and ran after her with his big long legs. He was growling and he showed his teeth. Soon he caught up to her and stood in her way grinning. "You can't escape me that easily my dear." he said in an evil tone. His eyes started turning red as he was having the urge to kill her. His evil gaze watched her every move. Twilight growled loudly and said in a voice that seemed to not be his own "You have done it now. You have made me angry" He bit the air with his sharp teeth as he grinned an evil grin. Twilight blocked her path as best he could with his blood red gaze still watching her.

Roxy took a few side-steps, and kept on trotting along the path, heading towards the city. She could smell the scent of the other packs, and that of her own. Good luck taking on the whole pack. She rolled her eyes and called out over her shoulder. Ohhh I'm so scared. Good luck taking on my pack, which I can smell is relatively close.

Roxy eyes could see the end of the path and the clearing that led to the city. She knew her pack was nearby, the scent was almost unbearably strong. Her detest for the dumb wolf was growing as she made her way back to her home. If he so much as laid a single hair on her, she'd attack him. She was a pretty good fighter, she could fight him until the rest of her pack arrived, then they could take this idiot down together, as a group. Everyone getting there share of him.

Roxy neared the clearing, and she stopped, turning around to face him. She lifted her muzzle to the sky once again. She let out a long howl, letting her pack know she could be in trouble, and to stick close. So, you feeling lucky? She asked the wolf.

Twilight sighed and tough as he was he could feel his end nearing. He growled and said "OK OK i give i won't hurt you if you don't hurt me." He lowered himself to the ground, not in a submissive way but in a way showing he would not harm her. Twilight was still cautious as he felt his life would end now all because he had been stupid. He lowered his head respectfully as if she were his alpha but his eyes watched her closely. Twilight saw her pack approaching and was scared but he kept calm.
