Domino padded his way along the waterfall hoping to meet someone to play with. "Will i ever find any friends?" he said aloud he was lonely and bored. He sniffed the air to see if he could scent another dog he didn't smell any. Domino sat down and listened to the waterfall waiting for another dog, hopefully a puppy to show up. He yawned with boredom and kept his senses alert for another dog someone for him to play with. Then just when he thought no one would show up he thought he smelled the fresh scent of a dog but he stayed where he was. Domino laid down and rolled over on his side his senses sill fully alert. He sighed to himself and wondered if he had smelled another dog he then realized he missed his parents his parents ran him out when he was still young, younger than 6 months old..... He gave out a tiny whimper hoping no one was around to hear he hoped the dog he thought he smelled was friendly and so he waited..................

Soda Pop sniffed the air as she stepped out of the woods. It smelled of water and grass... and another dog? Her blue eyes flashed around, finally catching the flash of white in the grass. Her own black and tan coat blended well with the shadows of the grass. Soda stepped toward the white figure, her soft voice carrying "Hello, my name's Soda, what's yours?"
Soda never quite knew what her name meant. It reminded her of something sweet and bubbly though, and she liked that. It matched her personality, sweet and bubbly. Soda was always happy, even in her darkest time after being thrown out by her mother, she found something to make her happy. The world was her playground, and she wasn't complaining. Every cloud had a silver lining, and somehow Soda always knew where to look.
The low roar of the water comforted Soda. It reminded her of her mother's heartbeat, rhythmic and ongoing. She heard the small whine escape her throat and captured it before it could get too loud. She was now close enough to see the other figure was a pup as well and she smiled. Today would be fun!

Domino heard a voice and he stood up quickly his tail wagging so fast it looked as if it would fall off. He looked at the dog in front of him another pup he thought to himself. He woofed a happy greeting at the female pup then said "I'm Domino. It"s nice to meet you." Domino walked up to her and licked her muzzle in friendly greeting. He looked at Soda happy he found another pup to play with. Domino didn't feel so lonely anymore He then asked "You wanna play?" his tail still wagging. Domino had never had a playmate before and he had been longing for one. He never had any brothers or sisters no one had ever loved him not even his parents. Domino tried to force a sad look off his face as he thought of his parents. He sat down as he felt an itch form it his neck. He lifted his leg up to scratch it when it passed he sat his leg back on the ground and looked at Soda.

Soda chuckled, "Nice name Domino, It's nice to meet you too." She looked at Domino again, "What do you want to play? Tag, hide and seek, or wrestling?" She raised a shoulder as Domino licked her muzzle in a sort of doggy blush. Her eyes flashed brightly, "I've never had a real playmate before, I think this will be fun!" Her white puppy teeth flashed in a doggy grin. Domino was funny, his silliness made her laugh, and she could tell he would be a good friend. Soda didn't catch the slight look of sadness on Domino's face, she was too excited about finding a new pal. Crouching down, her tail wagged swiftly, curling against her back like all tails of her breed did. Her paws gripped the ground as she shifted her shoulders positioning herself in a half crouch that prepared her to run, duck or spring into action that all games implied. Her own father hadn't ever been around, and her mother did everything she could until the other litter had come along. However Soda had learned how to play along the way with other lost pups. She hadn't stayed long in those places though, her last mission having lead her to this playmate. She knew that the others were just strangers, and this would be a great friendship.

Domino smiled at her and said "I don't care what we play." Then when she said that she never had a real playmate before he replied "Neither have i." Domino nodded his head at her when she said this would be fun. Domino stretched out his legs and thought to himself "today is going to be fun" Domino's tail wagged behind him and he grinned at Soda and looked into her eyes. Domino was glad she hadn't noticed the sad look on his face. Domino stood on his paws again ready to play he had a lot of energy and was tough for a pup. Domino let his short claws run through the dirt on the ground and he yawned one last time but he wasn't tired. Domino was happy he finally found a playmate he looked at her ready to play when she was. He noticed that he made her laugh and he grinned at her. Domino let his tongue hang out of his mouth, panting and waiting he had a short patience but he waited.

"OK then, We'll do it all!" She laughed before pouncing to the side barking after her, "Catch me if you can!" Her small paws beat the ground, as she ran intricate patterns, her short but strong legs carrying her swiftly across the grass. Soda liked to run, but liked to hide better, finding a small tree she crouched behind it, her tail waving behind her. She could see Domino from here, but her dark coat was sure to blend in with the shadows. To think that her first playmate hadn't had a playmate before either. It was great. She could teach him her games and he could teach her his. She wouldn't be leaving anytime soon, Soda just had to find a place to stay. She giggled, but stopped, hoping she didn't give away her hiding place. A small smile crawled over her maw, and she looked into the shadows behind her, then back out into the field, but she lost where Domino was. She would just have to wait to either see his white pelt, or have him find her now. Pressing herself against the tree Soda closed her eyes and listened, her nose flaring to capture all the scents around her.

Domino saw her take off into the shadows and he ran after her. He growled a cute puppy growl when he couldn't find her. He strained his ears listening for her and then he heard her laugh. Domino ran toward the sound his paws thumping the ground as he ran. He still couldn't see her so he tried to sniff her out he knew he was close. Domino's white pelt stood out in the shadows. He looked everywhere and sniffed the air staying close to where he heard the sound. Domino sat down where he was he saw Soda behind a tree and he grinned then he howled. He was behind Soda so she hadn't seen him he just sat there waiting for her to turn around his tail was wagging. He knew soon it would be time for him to hide but where? his coat didn't blend in with the shadows like Sodas did. Domino was never good this game for his pelt always gave him away. He let his tail thump the ground like a single, peaceful drum. He sat where he was looking at Soda and waited wondering what they would play next.

Soda leaped up with a yelp. The howl behind her had scared her a little. "Domino, you scared me!" She smiled in a mischievous way, pouncing next to Domino, capturing his ear gently between her teeth, and mock growling. She liked to wrestle, because even though her breed was just middle sized they were strong. She licked his cheek and mock growled again, waiting for him to make his move. Her tail was waving quickly, her bright blue eyes flashing with pleasure. Soda decided to spare him from hiding because his pelt would make it too easy, and had moved quickly into mock wrestling. She knew that many dalmatians were strong, and she liked just to match her power against others, but she always went soft, afraid to hurt the other when it was her who was most likely to get hurt because of her size. Soda smiled up at Domino, her whole body wagging, waiting for him to make the next move. Any fair playing pup always let the other attack, though in a real fight you would take every advantage you could get. However this was play, and play was fair, or at least among the light pups it was.

Domino looked at Soda and said "My bad" and felt her gently grab his ear. He stood up and lightly pushed her on her back his tail was wagging behind him. He gently nipped at her ear not wanting to hurt her he was strong for a puppy. Domino wondered just how strong Soda really was. He was going easy on her Domino could do some good amount of damage in a real fight for a pup. Domino gave out a cute play growl as he lightly pressed one paw on Sodas chest pinning her to the ground. He gave out another happy howl he was having fun. Domino got his strength from his dad he used to play fight with him before his parents ran him out. Domino smiled at Soda he still had one paw on her chest. He wagged his tail faster then he ever had before he didn't feel lonely anymore. Then he took his paw off Soda's chest and laid down next to her and licked her cheek in a friendly manner. He looked at her and waited his tail wagging the whole time. He listened to the sound of the rushing water as he waited and felt calm.

Soda laughed, she didn't mind being pinned by Domino at the moment. When he laid next to her she let out another laugh, a low fading laugh. "You know Domino I'm having allot of fun." She looked over at him, her paws curled toward the sky, the water calming her blood. With a sigh she looked at the clouds and said, "Hey it's a bunny!" Soda loved to watch clouds, it was relaxing and fun. Every cloud was different. Her own blue eyes darted across the sky until she found a shape she recognized. "Oh, and there's a snake over there!" her tan and white paw pointed out the two clouds she was talking about. They were fluffy and light against the blue sky. However it seemed like the clouds were starting to gather, She didn't even have a place to stay! She sighed and turned over onto her paws and stood up. "I'm sorry Domino, maybe I'll see you soon, but I have to go for today. I need to find some place to sleep that will be out of the rain." She licked his nose and turned to the shadows, her footfalls heavy. Today had been fun, but nothing could last forever.
