Dexter trotted along the sandy beach his tongue hanged out as his breath showed. Early in the morning the day was cold his fur bristled up from the chills of the winds that blew against his brindle body. His dark brown eyes observed the area around him as his radio ears stood listening all that was around. So far the day went silent almost as if others were still asleep. He soon came to a stop placing his haunches on the sandy ground he watched all that was around him. His mind was blank as his face showed sadness not smile or a sparkle of joy appeared on his face. Sadness always in him only cause his past an everything that has happened to him. His eyes slowly closed as he went into his mind "Why am I here what purpose do I have my life has been hell I feel empty inside my soul I feel like I don't belong here anymore"he thought. It hurt him so much on how lonely his life has been his eyes stayed close for a moment till a breeze swept by. He shook it off then opened his eyes watching the waves move back, and forth sweeping across the sand.

Don't judge a dog by it's breed.

Takali had been slowly trotting along on the beach, savoring the spray that was misting onto her fur. She shook herself, water droplets sprinkling onto the hot sand. She sighed, knowing that she had survived so long, so alone. She had problems accepting other dogs, as she had never known any. Takali looked out to the water, staring intently at one of the whitecaps. She saw something brown floating on the top, almost like it was surfing. She slowly waded out into the water, watching the object slowly float closer with the wave. As it reached her vicinity, she lunged, grasping the brown thing in her strong jaws. It was a stick, about as thick as her tail. Playfullness erupted from her being, and she started shaking her head back and forth, pretending she was trying to snap somethings spine. At one point she released the stick in mid shake, sending the stick whirling through the air, back into the water. Takali dove into the waves, paddling with strong strokes out to the waiting stick. She grasped it again. As she turned, she noticed the other dog on the beach. She dropped the stick, paddling quickly back to the shoreline. She shook herslef quickly before walking slowly over to the dog. She had never met this dog, and wasn't about to let her guard down.
